As far as availability is concerned, these new PSUs will be officially launched in the summer of 2011, and the P-1000XP is expected to be priced at 270€, while the P-860XP should be listed at 220€.

DAMN! $390. I certainly would like one of those Platinum PSUs, but not if I have to pay with actual Platinum.

Still would like to know a closer release date window, but that link was very helpful. I guess that info isn't out, but at least I got a ballpark on the price.

I was hoping that 1050 Platinum would be ~ 1200 Gold, but unless that article is wrong I was WAY off.

I know, but taxes is Europe is a lot higher. If something is €99 in sweden it's often $99 in the US. Or maybe a bit more nowadays.

Oh I see. I also forgot that in Europe the tax is included in the price. In that case I think your estimate may just be right on the spot. If that's the case (prays that it is... or I can get it free by some miracle) I'd definitely pay $20 more for a 1050 Pt than a 1200Au.
