Ya know, I don't that lo-res video did that game any justice. :shadedshu The review made several references to how sharp it looked. Comparing the video to the awesome-looking screenshots in my OP, you can get an idea on just how much has been lost.

Wow... pretty memory hungry. They're recommending 3GB of ram. Looks like a title that i'll be able to play on high settings without upgrading my rig 9800gt/8800gt pretty much the same thing. Price isn't bad, i'll probably get it during the holidays tho.

i'm curious to see how bad an 8800gs would get bottle necked by a 2.5ghz P4. I wish more games looked this good and only required what this one does.

What I understood, the plot is basically like this:

There is only one city left for humans, and most of them are stored in digitized form. The machines are trying to penetrate to the city and get hold of those digitized "souls", so they could advance and wipe out humanity altogether.

The player is a hard cooked ex-soldier that does security jobs (trying to keep the robots out of the streets) just for the money. In other words he enjoys blowing robots to pieces.

Just downloaded the demo and it's a bit unfortunate this title is digital only. This title would be one of them which I'd love to put on the shelf. $30 for a digital only title? I'll wait for a sale of it when it gets below $12.
Loving the premise of it and now going to test out the demo on my measly integrated HD 4290 at 1280x1024. Makes me wish I had the HD 6950 2GB unlocked to 6970 and the 1080p 23" IPS ASUS HDMI monitor already.

I dunno if it'll run well on an HD 4290 at all since the required is an 8800GS/3870. But there's no harm in trying

If it works let me know and i'll try it on my lappy just for kicks. (nvm i don't quite have enough ram). I'll try it out on my rig at home when i get back.

I have to admit it was pretty fun. The enemies were fun. I like using the environment to my advantage.

Has anyone else preordered the game but been unable to download it? There's no download option when the game title is right clicked and in the Game Info section it simply says it's coming soon.

Seems very odd to me, as Steam normally allows one to download an encrypted copy which is then decrypted on release.

It's released tomorrow, so I hope this behaviour doesn't mean that there's gonna be issues with downloading it then.

It did run but I had to lower the majority of the graphical settings. All I can say I was still very impressed.

Just tried the demo. Very impressed, graphically immense Played it at Max Settings with MLAA (4xFSAA kills my card ) Butter smooth and not a hitch in sight.....Looks like another definite purchase for me.

Some nice PC games coming out at the moment.

Just been playing it... and wow, very slick, very nice. I like all the key features listed on the Steam store page:

• A haunting cyberpunk / dark sci-fi setting
• Fast-paced, old-school shooter gameplay
• Hordes of enemies to destroy
• Epic boss fights
• A deep, experience-based weapon upgrade system
• High-fidelity graphics with full dynamic lighting
• Extensive use of physics and dynamic environments

and of course the price. It doesn't cost a small fortune.

I might make a competition out of this one...

Enjoyed the demo as well. I like how the weapon upgrades morph your main weapons, and as previously stated so much environmental carnage. Definitely buying this game.

Tried the demo was no all that impressed. Felt like a port although the visuals were nice every thing else i thought was a fail pretty much and the demo left me feeling they did not spend enough time on the gameplay which to me felt like i had may as well played it with a gamepad lol.

Overall my wife came up with what it was worth and we both thought $10 lol.

How hard is this game?

I'm only on the first level and have gone a little way in, but I keep getting nailed in short order by the bosses. This is an exercise in frustration more than a game.

I'm playing on normal difficulty, too.

it be going cheap in no time as it don't seem like one of those games that can hold it's own.. Feels to basic to me and truly wish they spent more time on gameplay as i think that could of made it epic.
