Another "help me find a good mouse" thread

So my current GIGABYTE GM-M6800 mouse is starting to die, most likely due to my abuse and because it was cheap.

So, I'm hunting around for a new mouse that fits my hand, isn't some super heavy POS, and has a DPI switch on the top of the mouse. I'd also like side buttons.

I'm not looking to spend over $75.

I am currently thinking the GIGABYTE GM-M8000X might be a good choice for me.

Anyone have other options? Other than Razer?

I'm using a logitech g500, replaced my old g5 with it after 5-6 years of use on the g5. Feels like the g5 and if it lasts as long as the g5, I'll be happy.

Considering you have that much of a budget, I won't recommend my bang-for-buck A4Tech X7-710BH (a good gaming mouse for just ~$18) :laugh:

I currently have the Gigabyte Ghost MX8000X. I really like it. If you have larger than normal hands and like the feel of a heavier mouse, its the one for you. Very accurate and the shift on the fly dpi is right there at your finger tip.

Hmm that gigabyte mouse looks pretty good. I also want to suggest the Asus GX900 mouse.

Are the weights removable? Just wondering since I don't like super heavy mice. Edit- Never mind, I see that they are.

Red doesn't really go well with my general theme sadly.

There are 2 colors, red and black. I think they are launching that along with their mechanical keyboards.

Ah. Yeah, I would get a nice keyboard but I have bad luck with them so I stick to the cheapo's. Thankfully my mouse is far enough away to not be a casualty most days.

If you have a mouse that you can use in the meantime, I would wait until Newegg has a Black November sale on mice this month. It's bound to happen soon because they have different sales every day and you might be able to find a better one for less money.

I'm not trying to sound like an advertisement, it's just a good month to need something. :toast:

I would personally recommend the Cyborg RAT7, once you get used to its very very strange look it's an awesome mouse, I purchased this one after TWO Razer Nagas broke, MOUSE1 button clicking issue then completely dead...
It's not a cheap mouse but if you are willing to spend the money it will serve you well

Otherwise there is always the trusty Logitech, I still have three mouse from it and no one ever broke (mx500, G5, G500), only the mx500 is showing it's age but hey, it has 8 years
