Yeah table salt shouts "Long live HDDs!!!"

A team of scientists in Singapore has managed to boost storage density on traditional magnetic platters as high as 3.3 terabits per square inch using a technique that relies on NaCl . (Comparatively, a recent 4TB Seagate drive had an areal density of 625Gb per square inch). The addition of NaCl to the manufacturing process meant the pattern of bits on the surface of each magnetic disk was neater, allowing more to be crammed in.

Sounds good if it's true

Their new manufacturing process, involving simple sodium chloride, can boost the capacity of computer hard disks by six times. The salt improved the resolution of the electron beam used to “print” the bits.

I hope their research will be successful and will work. And if this technology can be combined with HAMR (Heat-assisted magnetic recording) then it's gotta be something amazing. Reliable HDDs with big capacity and long life (and cheap)
