The Nexus Prominent R case is your best choice premium chassis for a silent computer. It's toolless installation features make it a breeze to install your components or change your set-up. The sleek professional look and materials make the case fit in anywhere.

The Prominent R have a black painted interior which is great looking. Preinstalled are two 120mm Real Silent Nexus Fan. There is noise absorption material on the side panels and isolating padding where the PSU is placed to prevent resonance, ventilation holes (and room for a fan) in the bottom of the case for air-intake and high feet (with rubber pads) keep the case elevated from the floor to make a smooth airflow possible and eliminate resonance. There is cable and fan management and on top we have an external SATA Dock, USB3.0, USB2.0, eSATA and audio connectors.

The Nexus Prominent R will be available around October 25th. For more information, visit the product page.

If the price is right that is not necessarily a bad thing. Looks good.

I suppose having solid side panels will make it quieter than the other cases which use this design.

Looks A LOT like CM 690 II?
Also (more like the) Rosewill Blackhawk and Lepa LPC302.

I wish they got away from the mesh...

Mesh is so impossible to clean when it gets dusty, and it always ends up looking like crap after a short while.

My experience is exactly the opposite.

How so? How do you get the dust out from the Mesh and the foam dust filter that is embedded in it? Even with a shotback, the foam remains gray unless you actually wash it.

It is impossible to get 100% of the dust out, at least for me, and the case will never look as clean as it did the day you got it.

It does look alot like the CM 690 II, i do like the look of this more though. Would be better if it did have the big nexus logo down the side. A discrete logo would be better: thats why i prefer Lian Li. :)

For the most part, as long as I use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down every once in a while, and wash it periodically, they're fine.

Looks A LOT like CM 690 II?

Most companies work from a template of already available cases from manufacturers in Asia making some modifications to get a unique look while maintaining costs. As the level of changes increases so does the price, until you eventually reach the level where a case is custom manufactured to the designer's specifications.

The Rosewill Blackhawk, CM 690 and this case seem to share a common blue-print.

I just don't like 90` front hdd cages though, all they do is block airflow from the front fans.

really nice looking case. I love the 90 degree angled HD cases cause it is much easier to access the drives. I also like the added function of reading a drive from up top

I think it will be fine.

The case has room for 4 additional fans upto 140mm, I dont know if all the fan mounts support 140mm.

you probably cant fit anything bigger then a 120mm on the back but for everything else you could fit 140mm. which should make this case quite a beast when it comes to cooling.

2x140mm Top (exhaust)
2x140mm front (Intake)
1x120/140mm bottom (next to PSU) (Intake)
1x120mm rear (exhaust)

this could make for a nice case, though i would prefer then bottom fan next to the PSU to be on the side panel so it cools both graphic cards properly when running SLi/Crossfire

90 degrees is ok. you can install hdd easily
i just dont like if they use plastic tray coz sometimes after a while plastic cant hold the cage pretty tight anymore

Hate to resurrect an old thread....but I have this case and it has proved absolutely fantastic. Just the one problem though... my external sata dock has gone faulty....I suspect it might just be down to a damaged/ faulty cable....does anybody know where I might be able to source spare parts for this?
