I agree... hate saying it but take apple for example. iphone after iphone with no real improvement until a couple generations have passed. They have showed a winning formula so why not emulate it.

They could save a lot of time and renaming by just doing what Valve does to TF2: Add moar maps and cosmetic items. However, Craptivision wants to have their cake and eat it too, so they'll just release 10 more separate $60 games instead.
