Guys I'm looking to buy a notebook...
I know the i5-2410 or i3-2310 both have way more cpu power than a llano a4-3310mx... but when approaching to games... would the hd3000 be on par with amd's 6480g from the a4-3310mx ?

Gamming is not that much important to me anymore, but i also don't need tons of cpu processing power.... between a so so cpu with a nice gpu part and a great cpu with crap gpu part I'd take the one with better gpu.....

So the question is: Is an i3-2310 or i5-2410 cpu powerful enough to make the hd3000 equal to the 6480g in gamming performance ?

Hey erocker.... as you're already here, I made a typo on the topic name, could you change it to 6480g instead of 4480g, please ?

I searched on notebookcheck.net for both 6480g and hd3000 benchmark numbers and they seemed pretty close to me......
But I don't trust that much these number......

The HD3000 is horrible at gaming. Get the 6480G if you need to game alittle.

Well in a AnandTech review the A8-3500M (4x1.5GHz, 2.4GHz Turbo, 32nm, 4x1MB L2, 35W) with it's Radeon HD 6620G (400 Radeon Cores, 444MHz).
AMD's A8 just ran over both i5-2520m / i7-2820QM

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4444/amd-llano-notebook-review-a-series-fusion-apu-a8-3500m/12

But A4-3310MX is a 2 cores @2.1/2.5ghz with "only" 240sp.... and that's a huge difference from the a8-3500 tested.......... so it's minus 160sp and 2 cores from the test above...
But the i5-2410 is minus .2ghz from base close and .3ghz from the turbo for cpu and .1ghz for igp from the i5-2520m tested....

So I guess this pretty much narrows the gap..... I just don't know if enough to make the hd3000 to catch with the cut in sp and cores from the a8-3500 to the a4-3310mx....

If you guys have some review links or personal test, I'd glad to know because I really think the difference might not be too big when looking at these lower end llano....
