The corsair is a very strong PSU, if you could tell us more about your system then it would be easier to tell you if it was a good purchase, not everyone needs 1KW+ PSUs but I'll assume you'll need it :)

The only thing that I don't like about it is the voltage regulation on 5V : http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/HX1050/5.html

The OCZ Agility is a good drive, can't tell anything bad about it : http://www.anandtech.com/show/4346/ocz-agility-3-240gb-review

Ill be using (eventually) 1 pump watercooling system cooling i5 3750k IB OC'd like a madman would, 1 680 gk110 (maybe 2 depends how big my tax return is this year :)), mobo, 2 1tb hhd's, 1-2 SSD's, 16gb 4x4 1866 ram, around 8 120mm casefans for my push/pull trip/single rad, as well as 3 maybe 4 140 mm fans, LEDs on all fans. As well as a few string LED lights/cathods... you know.... for light... hehehheh.

I think im definately going to jump on the 1050, it seems like a decent deal, the Agility 3 however, im not sure, i just got one of these for my dads laptop awhile ago during this same sale, and its on again... however, it would still be a good upgrade for later, unless ssd prices drop in the upcoming future, which they might.

Also, im located in London, i go to the london-richmond one :). Currently working in windsor for this coop term, (Software developer). I love canadacomputers!

I have the original HX1000 and its still going strong since I bought it in Aug 08. I love corsair mid to high end offerings, great quality and durability IMO.

save your money and stay away from the agility 3,there are far better drives on the market :)

humph, i see.

Well, eventually i feel like id probably get 2 to put in RAID. I suppose i would want to have some good qualities, but the agility 3 isn't that bad, its definately near the top for quality. $40 dollars off is pretty decent still... 240gb is a nice size too, i can put the load-intensive games on there..... now im unsure about the agility. that psu is a for-sure.

is your motherboard skt 1155 or 2011? the reason i ask is SSDs in general work best with a native SATA6 chipset

It will be a 1155, Some of the z68 chipsets come with 6 gb/s sata ports do they not?

Ahahha thank you for your concern :). I havent gotten these parts specifically yet, im just finding good deals as i want to build, like this 1050W Corsair PSU, and, i decided, the agility 3. Decent storage, decent price, and i can start using that now with my current comp, small upgrade but totally usable in my new system.
