Small excerpt from the article regarding possible specs:

According to the report, the specs select developers are working towards include an AMD x64 CPU and an AMD Southern Islands GPU, the name given to AMD's 2012 high-end PC cards. The PS4 will apparently be capable of playing games at a resolution up to 4096x2160, and will play 3D games in 1080p.

Why is there always a report of this with every generation of console? They said it for the PS2, the PS3, and now the PS4...

These people need to realize that wherever they are getting these "reports" from is full of shit.

from what ive heard isnt xbox doing the same thing, they want to cut out the used game market, because it dosen't give them any profit.

Perhaps MS/Sony are testing the waters and gauging people's reactions? Huge outcry = no anti-used game system.

I doubt it big corporations dont listen to customers. They wont come out with it. Because if they do then places like gamestop (were each companies launch profits come from) will be in huge trouble (they rely on used sales)

Sounds like trinity which makes a ton of sense. Might not go far on a PC but that's a significant spec improvement over current consoles. Already uses less power and would save an epic amount of R&D costs.

While intel would be faster it's nice that they are helping out AMD and in turn will make the systems cost less. Now lets just hope it's not the bulldozer they use... lol

I always feel APU a genius idea while BD architecture still needs much effort on.

Trinity (or another similar specialized apu) would be a good choice actually considering that the xmb os would be built around the architecture instead of just being patched in.
