Hey I'm new around here. :toast: I recently sold my 560ti Hawk (now using my old 4850) to buy a 7870. I've waited for two weeks now for price cut but the 7870's are still "overpriced" here in EU, so I decided to buy a 7850. My question is, which one ? I'm deciding between the ASUS,Sapphire and Gigabyte. Any feedback's on this cards ? After reading the reviews, I still can not decide which one should I buy. Just want that the card runs cool and that it has great OC potential.:)

I appreciate any information that could help me to decide!

Well the cheapest is for me Sapphire's card. Gigabyte cost me roughly 10€ more and the Asus 15€ more. Are there really no big differences in temps or head-room if I'm going to OC it ? I assume it's not worth to pay 10€ for Sapphire's factory OC card, right?

I've personally had great luck with MSI, I noticed you don't have them listed and I have two of their 6870s and they're very solid products. ASUS tends to overclock the GPU then charge a little more, so I would stay away from ASUS if you're trying to save money. It is currently out of stock but I would recommned this: MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB GD...

They are all reference PCBs so the only difference is the coolers which all are good again buy the cheapest and oc yourself.

if they come in reference design take the cheapest some give you like voucher or game but the price is kinda higher little bit
if they come with custom design i prefer take with better cooling solution

I would say the Sapphire is your best bet. Being both the cheapest and having one of the better customer service records.

Well Ezzy,

I've been using Sapphire for years. I've owned an HD 3870, HD 5770, Currently Running an HD 6870 and getting ready to buy 2 HD7970's.

If HD7850 is what you are looking for and Sapphire is cheaper go with Sapphire. Very good cards.

I've recently bought the HD7850 from Sapphire (OC version), seeing as how they didn't have at normal one at my local retailer, and I am very pleased!
(Coming from an HD4670 anything would be better!)

I'm running all my titles with great FPS on high settings. I doubt there's a big difference between the OC version and the stock version, but either way I would highly recommend you go for Sapphire.

The card runs very cool. It idles at 29c-30c, and gets up to 57c-63c while playing a session (hour - 2 hours) of BF3.
Also it doesn't take up that much space, which I can't say for the other cards seeing as how i'm not familiar with their dimensions..

I've got to add also, I doubt that coming from a 560Ti you will see a huge difference in performance, so don't expect something drastic in terms of performance between the 560Ti and the HD7850, since you already sold your 560Ti.. the HD7850 is awesome for it's price range and runs very cool and quiet. Not to mention the low power consumption..
