difference between 1600 and 1866MHz memory

hey guys,iv recently thought of buying a set of 8GB Kingston HyperX memory and im not sure if ishould choose the 1866MHz kit or the 1600 MHz kit,advice pls!!

if the price difference is large, buy the cheaper one.

If cost is your concern stick with the 1600, you won't notice any real world difference in the speed, unless you have an AMD APU with IGP. If you do have an APU build, I'd go with the 1866 since the higher mem speed will help the IGP a bit in performance.

since your choosing from the same manufacturer, the only real difference is bandwidth. the price difference should be fairly small, so if you have the money no harm in getting the 1866, assuming your motherboard supports this speed of course.

im in singapore so the difference is 40 dollars which is like 30 USD

My insight; most of the kits are underspecc'd anyways. Odds are you may be able to get the 1600 kit to run 1866 with a small loss of latency in timings. Yet again, it all depends on what cpu you are basing it off of and what it would suit it better.
