System Upgrade (Motherboard & Processor)
So i have done some minor upgrade on my desktop, i have changed my motherboard and processor, previously i had a (Intel Desktop Board DH55HC Media Series & Intel Processor Core i5 760 @ 2.8 GHz) i have upgraded to (Intel Desktop Board DZ68BC Extreme Series & Intel Processor Core i5 2400K) to me i think its a minor upgrade.
Considering 7 Series Chip set is out and Ivy Bridge around the corner, Ivy Bridge & a 7 Series Board was what i wanted to purchase at first, but then Intel decided to delay the launch of Intel Desktop Board DZ77RE which was what i wanted coz it is going to support thunderbolt, i was supposed to purchase it with the Core i7 3770/3770K any of this.
So due to the delay of Intel's release of their DZ77RE i decided to do a minor upgrade coz the boards they were going to launch did not appeal that much to me as the DZ68BC or DZ68ZV, so i bought 6 Series Instead, i bought this four days before 7 series boards official launch, due to the info i already had of the delay, plus i had a buyer who really wanted the board and processor i had which were (DH55HC & i5 760) so i took the opportunity of selling them while i still could.
In the near future i might still buy a 7 series board if it ever gets released & a 3770K hopefully. but at the moment i do not see a need for another motherboard coz the DZ68BC can handle Ivy bridge, so i might just upgrade the processor to 3770K few months after it releases.
was it a good idea to do this?
