YIKES, MSI really need to step up their game in terms of product design in their notebook department.

this thing looks like its from the 90s while in a world surrounded by slick ultrabooks and understated laptops where simple and elegant design is quickly becoming the norm.

MSI has been using this design for more than 2 years already, with minor changes. Their GT/GX6xx series uses even more flashy colouring ;)

yes sorry typo, i meant to type "MSI really need to step up their game..."

I'm aware MSI has been using this ancient design for ages, which was the main reason why I didn't go with them for my gaming laptop purchase despite having above average specs.

Industrial design 101

over rounded edges = makes the laptop look thicker than it is = fail
multi colored rainbow flashy lights do not impress anyone but 12 year old kids(i'm looking at you alienware)
overly thick bezel makes screen look smaller than it is

At the end of the day this series offers a very good price/performance ratio, so it still sells.
