Bad BIOS flash

Flashed the BIOS, it rebooted, never came back. Yes, I have done all the ordinary things to try to get it back. I have a replaceable chip, so can I just boot with a working chip, swap them while on and flash the corrupted one?

post from the good chip
pull the chip while powered up and booted into the DOS flash environment > install the old one > flash the old one with a KNOWN good bios
make sure you use a plastic tool to remove the chip and a make sure you are grounded or you might kill more then a eprom chip ...
