So it has come to a point where I want to build a more updated PC after puting one together for a friend. I am going to be building a clone of what I put together for him.

Edit:
My question is; is it beneficial to run a Revo 3 PCIe SSD as my main system partition and use a sata 3 SSD for caching?

Specs:
Intel i7 3770k
Asus p8z77-v Deluxe
G-Skill Sniper Series 16gb 2133mhz
Coarsair hx 1050 PSU
OCZ Revo3 RVD3-FHPX4 120gb PCIe SSD
NZXT CA-SW810-B1 Case

Going to wait for the gk110 kepler.

i would try and make it simple,, 1hdd for space, 1ssd for performance oriented tasks gaming etc.
one thing i regret is not getting bigger one,, so i suggest getting larger ssd, like at least 190gbs...
btw is gk110 kepler going to get 512bit gddr5?

yes..SSD caching have some benefit but theres some utility software will refuse to work with SSD caching, currently i'm using cheap 30GB Kingston SSDnow as my cache disk for my entire RAID 0 array and i currently testing the caching software http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/fancy-cache/.

so far everything seem excellent..have been running it 24/7 for 79 days so far with minimal error, got some BSOD during gaming, related with display driver not working and recovered but i think its not related with SSD caching.

That's what has been floating around the internet. I hope so, or I'll be waiting for nothing. Thank god I didnt buy a 680 as I planned on doing. I was super let down to hear that the 680 has a gk104. NVIDIA and their sneaky ways. I would've been pissed if I bought one only to find out that all the hype was for a dumbed down version. I had no clue and neither do casual gamers. Sucks.

The p8z77-v deluxe has 2 sata ports dedicated to SSD caching. Its pretty cool. Was wondering if using 1 SSD to cache another SSD would give noticeable performance. The revo 3 PCIe SSD is raided from the factory (the PCB has dual sandforce controllers). It has 975mbps read 875mbps write. Was going to try a 30gb Sata 3 SSD to use as a cache for that drive. The modding bug has hit really hard. Been waiting for IB and Kepler since summer last year. Now that they finally came out, I want to start my build. To top it off, my main PC's motherboard died on me. So now I really want to build this thing ASAP. LOL Thanks!

wow u waited for a year thats long..IB and Kepler must be quiet a let down for u,sandy bridge is the bomb,,,the urge to get new fast stuff must be great :0) , know how that feels.. i couldn't wait anymore, been squeezing juice out of 5850 for too long, so got gtx670 yesterday ,,,$400 even... my opinion stands, the simpler the better, small ssd to catch terabyte drive sounds good, small ssd to catch another ssd? how about small ssd to catch small ssd that catches large ssd :0)
when is gk110 comin end of this year? if yes then thats about half a year more to wait
btw how big is the Revo 3 PCIe SSD ?

Nice!! How do you like the 670? Yeah, waited for IB for its pci3 compatability. I waited for Kepler because it was supposed to be like 3x the power of 5xx series. The revo3 is really a 240gb total, but it's raided, so you only get 120gb of space. I designed my friends build and it's just rediculous. He is also waiting for a gk110, but he has a gtx560 ti. He runs bf3 at around 40-70 fps at 1080p and all ultra setting minus the post effects which are set to the lowest settings. His windows experience index gets all 7.9's except for the CPU, but it's not oc'ed. Not like the WEI means much but I thought I'd throw that in. The machine is very sexy looking too. After puting it together, I need one. Lol. Rumors are saying gk110's are coming 3rd quarter 2012, most are saying aug or sept. I hope so.
