I'll recommend Crucial M4, Intel 520, or Mushkin Chronos Deluxe over a Corsair SSD.

But if you must get a Corsair... that's fine by me.

I would suggest a Samsung 830 because I have one. Aside from that, it's also quite reliable and fast :).

Scratch that. Do not get a Mushkin Chronos Deluxe. I may have lucked out with mine.

Been getting a lot of random BSOD's lately after a month of using it.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?! :(

It's a fast drive, but not very reliable as I am experiencing it.

Its Asynchronous so it will be slower than a Synchronous or Toggle drive in some areas, other than that it should be fine.

It could be your drive is defective or your system may just be one of the ones that still can't work with a standard SF-2281 drive, maybe one with altered firmware like Intel's 520 or 330, make sure your drivers and BIOS are up to date.

Hi I notice the write speed is quite a bit slower in some drives does this matter much,

Corsair 240GB Force 3 SSD
Read 550MB/s Write 520MB/s

Crucial 256GB M4 SSD
Read 500MB/s Write 260MB/s

I'm pretty sure that was before the later firmware which improved performance.

Mine actually did 523 when i first got it, these advertised speeds are only in certain areas (Certain types of data) and do not have any real effect on the overall performance of the drive.

Also, I might add that outside of benchmarks I cannot tell the difference in speed in day to day use between my M4 and my old Sata2 Samsung which was around 250mb/sec.. So dont get too caught up in which drive is faster.
