Hello guys. I just read both reviews of both graphic cards, and I don't know which I should take , because my card it's starting to crash sometimes, and then I cannot play properly, so I need a huge change. I'm competitive gamer of BF3 and TF2, so I need stable FPS in both games.

Actually this is my configuration of my PC.

Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67 GHz
Gigabyte P55A-UD3R
W.D HDD 500 GB
Kingston DDR3 4GB
Thermaltake V3 Negra
Gybabyte Odin 720W OEM
Thermaltake Contac 29
ATI HD5770 ASUS CORE
BENQ V920 18.5 Panorámico LED 1366x768

I just have some problems with my ATI since I bought it, like an error and then crashes.
What u would take in that situation? I'm not fanboy of any of both companies, so I need the best power.

I'm student, so...I cannot buy an expensive one, so...take count of that as well.

Thanks for reading :DD Hope to see answers.

Cheers

I take a look at your "Odin 720W" and with 18A @ 12V Rail i would stick with a normal 560ti or the 7850.

The 6950 @ stock probably work too but if you "unlock" to 6970 not so sure, and that was one of the advantages over the 560´s/7850´s.

You can find a few 7850 reference cards below the 220€, and some 560ti around 190/200€.

But if it was up to me I would go with 7850, it runs cool, good power consumption and performs very well for what you pay.

Normal 6950 uses less power than 560ti. 7850 uses half power while being a little faster @ stock than both and once you oc it becomes much faster so buy the cheapest that has custom cooling.

I myself have the 6950 but in your case get the 7850. Take in what darkocean said. He gave you a reason to jump to a 7850 but it's just that you game at a lower res, but if you want an all out smooth frame rate with your current monitor for some time then go for the 6870. You can still find those and they are great for your system.

So you recommend me buy Ati HD7850. Oke, the problem is just that I don't know any website where to buy it, because already Google knows that I'm spanish so it's searching spanish webs, and...yeah in spain we have higher costs. So...what u would recommend me?

And btw, about the ensambler, what u think, MSI, Sapphire, XFX, Gigabyte...?

7850 is just under those 2 cards at stock- overclocked the 7850 reference model I just got to 1000 core/1350 memory and it jumped right over them, even stayed under 60C for temps when I benched it. :toast:

well , the last year i have bring my 6950 1gb at 219€ , at the same price if you search , the 2gb model are at the same price,im in italy (i dont have the 2gb model why my actual case dont have enough space), if you have to play at this low res ,the 6870 is good , but if you need high fps the 6950 or gxt 560 ti are both good ,like the others tell you , the 7850 is good for price , low power consumption and if you oc , go better then both cards ,if you find a good price go to the 7850, and you see a big gain in performance over the 5770 xd

tough one, i have both...

on saints row 3 using FRAPS, it seems that the 560ti is slightly faster, but the 6950 i think may look slightly better.
on a 4Ghz 1100t...

(BTW The 3dmark sysinfo has the memory speed of the cpu ram as 667, i have set it at 800 in bios)

whats the point of getting the 7850 if the op has a low res monitor? 1366x768? a 7850 is too high. He should save his money on something else.

Well get what everybody is telling you to get, 7850, if you say you are goin to buy a new monitor. Im also a student so saving up to buy parts is hard when you have to buy books or pay tuition or both. You can also wait for the upcoming series like the 660ti or 8850. Good luck man.

Your cpu is fine. You could use it for as long as they last. I don't think you will be bottlenecked. Idk about how much would it cost you but look up where DarkOcean said. Check there

Hello guys. I was really close of buying Ati HD7850 but I was watching reviews and I have the feeling that the power of the HD7850 is too high for me. I mean I have 1366x768 monitor so I cannot approach full-power of the card, and not sure if I gonna change my monitor because I already doesn't need it. Anyways I'm not sure if I have to save 50 euros more to buy a card which I don't know if I gonna approach at 100% Maybe I could get the alternative, and get the GTX560 Ti, and save this 50 euros to...for example go Insomnia i49 next year. What u think guys?...

If that's the case you can pick up a 6850 or 7770 they both require fairly low power, are cheaper, and would be a healthy step up from your current 5770 at your resolution.
