So I'm Putting together a gaming PC for my friend on a 1000$ budget including OS, Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse.

$970 shipped in the cart, $45 in rebates. I bet if you did some hunting you could find a spare optical hard drive cheap, better hard drive, the G500 cheaper, a better keyboard, and a Hyper 212+ heatsink to overclock some...and still be in budget. I think the orange Zotec 560 Ti + the Cougar case with orange parts would look kinda neat too, if he cares about that kind of stuff.
