I now have Serious Sam II, Star Wars Battlefront II, Starwars Empire at War, and Quake 4 installed on my parents computer. All of them seem to work fine so far.

When will Microsoft release the full version of Windows Vista? Only the upgrades version is currently out, right?

Shit, then why do all the stores sell only the upgraded versions? I must be blind or something…

I agree MS did a fine job w/ Vista. I was sckeptical a first because Vista Blue Screened on me twice and said "Bad Drivers" were to blame. Bad Drivers aren't MS' fault. And what fixed it was setting my CPU and Memory back to the Defaults down from OVERCLOCKING. So it was actually my fault.

The Firewall seems pretty good and easy to tame. I don't like having to "ALLOW" each app every time I run it, but I understand why = that makes it way more secure.

Over all I would say Vista RAWKS:rockout: Now we just need beter DX10 Driver and Games.

I agree, & a GREAT + EVEN-HANDED analysis on your part...

:)

* Hey - how is the CHESS game on VISTA? I saw earlier last year it has one or did in beta @ least, & I LOVE CHESS!

APK

P.S.=> About to play some right now vs. my neighbor... got him 3x in a row last night, & hoping to continue this streak... what makes me better is playing a computer in it many times for a warmup prior to our "4 yr. long tournament" we have had going, lol! He doesn't know that yet... I come in 'warmed up' most times lately!

Anyhow, a screenshot of it would be cool, if it's not too much trouble, & also if any of you have played it? Your thoughts on it... gracias! apk

Its a simple but nice 3d chess game. You ahve a few options to change according to the board type and the material the pieces are made out of. You can mess with how good the computer is, and I believe you can even play it online.

Only loaded up Counter Strike Source so far, runs about 69% as fast as in XP so I dont use Vista much.

really? it only runs 1% slower in vista for me, i was expecting a 10% hit....but 21% sounds like something's wrong

I just have BF2, Counter Strike: Source, Gmod10 and Half Life 2 installed.

The only game I have issues with is Battlefield 2. It is a lot slower than it was on XP, although I can still max it out :p

P.S. Funny Story = I am a Seargent in the USAF and at work one day
some 250 pound bully was bragging about how he can bench 400 pounds.
He looked at me (see in as I am the next biggest guy to him) and fired off.
How much do you BENCH. I replied "9mm."

LOL being ex air force myself R.A.F. (The real One lol “only kidding “) I can appreciate that reply ... 
