Dear Auzentech Customers,
Auzentech has received reports that the recent shipment of the X-Fi Bravura 7.1 sound card had recognition and/or detection problems with some motherboards. Auzentech regrets this lapse in quality and is happy to help resolve the issue.
Auzentech's engineers have investigated and narrowed the cause to a component that was updated in the recent X-Fi Bravura shipment. Although the components are supposed to be functionally identical, swapping out the newer component with the previous one corrects the situation. The engineers have also created a downloadable tool that will allow the majority of affected users to correct the situation themselves.
If you are having problems with detection of your X-Fi Bravura 7.1 sound card, please follow steps listed below.
1.Find the Hardware ID of your X-Fi Bravura
Open the device manager of Windows and check the Hardware ID of your X-Fi Bravura. You can find it as "High Definition Audio Device" or "Auzen X-Fi Bravura 7.1" within Sound, video and game controllers.
2.For Hardware ID SUBSYS_11020010:
If the Hardware ID of your X-Fi Bravura shows "SUBSYS_11020010," you can use an easy to use tool for fixing the problem.
The tool is a bootable image file. Please download it with its detailed guide at the link below:
http://www.auzentech.com/filebox.php?file=bravurafw.zip
3.For Other Hardware IDs:
If the Hardware ID of your X-Fi Bravura shows a different ID (for example, "SUBSYS_54310010"), the bootable image file listed in step 2 will not work. Instead, contact Auzentech at bravura (at) auzentech.com with the following information. Auzentech will handle the return and replacement in a timely matter.
•Date of purchase
•Country of purchase
•Serial No.
All of us at Auzentech would again like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. Note that only a few Bravura are affected in Canada, France and Germany.
Sincerely,
Stephane Bae
President, Auzentech Inc.
