Goldbox deal for today is a huge sale on Sandisk flash memory including thumbdrives, SSDs, and MicroSD cards.

Prices on many SSDs are $30+ less than Newegg plus you might be avoiding sales tax and getting free Super Saver Shipping.

Already picked up the 64gb MicroSD I was looking for :D

Is there any risk in buying an SDXC card vs an SDHC card for an Android phone? Possible compatibility issues maybe?

None that I have seen, especially in recently released phones. The biggest problem you could face is having to format the card in a PC instead of your phone, so its pretty simple.

I'm going to use mine in my Galaxy Note.

I decided to be cheap and bought the 32GB card. I'm not much of a music guy and I've never owned a smartphone (might get the new iPhone if T-Mobile carries it, rendering the card useless) so I don't think I'll ever need so much storage.

Thanks again dub!

The Sandisk Extreme 240 is $155, very nice drive I'm currently using.
if you don't like Amazon, Newegg also has the Sandisk Extreme 240 for $155 shipped

I loved the line at the bottom, usually ships in 10-13 days....really?

Good pricing though, even on the 64GB microSD, your comment on use in the Galaxy intrigues me as my S3 would love one at that price;)

All these SSD deals...really makes me wonder when the prices will bottom out. Makes me wish I had waited on my Synapse.

Newegg started price matching the SSD prices earlier this morning.

Yeah, but thats only because they are essentially back ordered. I put my order in 10 minutes before I made the thread and at that time they were in stock and ready to ship (mine has already been shipped via UPS). I have heard that CM10 for the S3 has slight issues with the 64gb card, but any other ROM or stock ICS will have no issues.

I'm scared of thier SSDs. They have TONS of bad reviews on newegg and people say they fail quick.

SanDisk SSDs have some of the best reviews I've seen.

My package ended up getting lost- amazing when it only had to travel about 3hrs from the warehouse even in traffic. Amazon refunded my order and said I could keep the order if it was ever found. Shot an email to UPS to see if they could locate the package and just got it in the mail. Packaging (both the box it was shipped in and the retail Sandisk packaging) is beat beyond belief but the card looks like it survived.

Issue is when I put it in my MicroSD reader the card failed to load anything past ~400MB. Tired 2 separate readers, both had the same issue. Switched over to the included SD adapter and put it in the same readers and it loaded ~1GB no problem. Now I have a full 64gb payload being transferred onto the card, but I wanted to see if anyone else who ordered has similar problems. I don't have a known genuine 64gb card to compare it to, but I am a little concerned this may not be real.

I haven't opened my 32GB since I haven't gotten a smartphone yet, but I'll test it in my laptop tomorrow and get back to you.

It's so hard to fill up 30GB but I finally managed to do it. I just kept making copies of a video file I had and it filled up fine. I checked a few of the videos randomly and they all play without issues. I did manage to royally F up the packaging so I won't be able to return it even if it were fake...

Appreciate checking it out for me. Does your card's silk screened paint look 'cheap'?

I managed to fill all 59.4gb available on my card and have had no further issues with the files, so it looks like both my readers were at fault. Everything looks to have worked out in the end

Maybe your readers didn't like the SDXC format?

I don't know what the norm is for paint jobs on memory cards, but is definitely a little bumpy.
