I bought the Thermaltake Level 10 GT simply because I like the design a lot. - Its like having a god damn truck in the room :) I think it is awesome. It costed pretty much money in my currency SEK (Swedish), but for me at least it was well worth it. Pretty silent, not ultra silent, but silent and though the Asus Direct II CU OC series is a pretty long card, I can have a card much longer without issues in the future and that is very nice.

Also that you can mount the radiators so easy that a smashed monkey :banghead:could do it, makes it a great deal for me.

I run the I7 I2700K at 4500Mhz (1000Mhz overclock on 4 Cores Hyperthreaded=8) with the Corsair Hydro H100 CPU cooler on absolutely minimum speed possible and still not getting more CPU temp than around 48 degress overall after 10 hours intensive gaming in a very warm room. - Still leaving me room for overclock, but then it will make more noise than I like.

It is the most unique case ive seen actually, it looks modular actually, only thing is the steep price puts most in the range of a Lian Li, most gamers wont shell out that kind of cash for the chassis, theyd spend it on what goes inside

My Bro has this Case and it does just fine

at time it was bought it was for 90 USD

Yes I agree.

If you click on my system spec below my name to the left, you can see that I actually spended a lot on my hardware as well - I am often replacing if I get bored or just think I have performance issues with a new game, so I think a few thousand SEK is well worth for a chassis you really like. :)

The HAF-X is also awesome and it cost half of what the TTLV10GT costs in my country. - I recommend that chassis on Facebook if the design of the TTLV10GT is not for some peoples liking.

It seems the TTLV10GT is a chassis you either hate or love.

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1416&ID=2120 but seriously?? - What is not to love :peace:

Can you please show me a drive like the one you are talking about?

My motherboard should support it, but I am not sure what to buy.

I would be happy to update my system spec with a thing like that.

However, my two Vertex 4 OCZ SSD in raid 0 when it start the pc it waits for the graphical thingie to be done before windows can start up... seconds later, skype, origin to bf3, steam, asus tweak, rainmeter, windows blinds, windows descapes, utorrent, jumicontroller, office start, etc etc is ready :) I do not think I would fell that much of a difference. Only - is the "only" 512Gb storage.. besides that it is pretty cool :)

Hi,

isn't the fan on that Noctua CPU cooler reversed? The green arrows that indicate the airflow of the CPU fan are wrong (as shown in the picture) when the Noctua fan is mounted like this on the CPU cooler. The air flow that's created by that Noctua fan right now on the cpu cooler is now more like "sucking out" air and throw out the hot air of the case through the air vents in the side panel of the case, I think. If you want to use that Noctua fan to blow cool air onto the CPU cooler/towards the motherboard then you should reverse the Noctua cpu fan; something like this.

As for the GTX 680's temperature, it's not too hot that's it will damage the card, but have you checked the rpms of the gpu fan? Perhaps you can ramp up the gpu fan a bit with tools like MSI Afterburner.

Great looking system, you have done a fine job. Just to reiterate, your cpu cooler is not blowing the way your arrows are pointing. Perhaps you missed my previous post.

The side of the fan with the sticker is always the side that is blowing. It took awhile for that to dawn on me, too, especially if you are just using your hand to try and feel the air with a low noise fan. The vortex will often times make it feel like the air is moving the opposite way.

It should look like this:

Also, as i mentioned on the last page, but everyone ignored, the cooler... it's mounted on the CPU incorrectly. Let's deal with the CPU heatsink first, so that the case airflow is working right, then let's check card temperatures again, okay?

THe "BEND" in the heatpipes should NOT be in the upper part of the heatsink, as it is in your pictures. Here is what your manual shows, 3 correct mounts, and one wrong. Your mount is the wrong direction, unfortunately.

bend.jpg

It even says, as you can see at the bottom of hte pic I posted here "may result in reduced cooling performance".

Of course, I have a fair bit of expereince with NOctua coolers with these heatpipes, so I recognized it right away. Most won't know that this is what Noctua suggests, and with my own personal testing, they do suggest this for good reason, too.

Its gotta be thoes bends facing upwards that are the issue.

That can't be true unless something is wrong with that fan.

I know for a fact that pretty much every fan have the air flow blowing towards the frame / label side.
This is true with all of my Noctua fans.
Even in TPU's review it has shown the proper mounting of that Cooler.

CPU fan is ass backwards that = fact

as for the GPU turn up the fan speed to 45% manual and just leave it their your temps should drop about 10'c and it will still be silent the Direct Cu II cooler tends to favor utter silence first but up to around 50-60% fan speed its still quiet / utterly silent depending on the case. i run 50% fan speed so temps stay under 60c on my current 7970.

I do not have temp problem at all, but seriously if I did I wouldnt care much. What is so important with the theoretical double lifetime on nowadays hardware? Do you really have your hardware more than 5 years these days? - None of us super geeks will probably not even have a giant tower in 5 years due to the fast manufacturing of "mini" hardware for HTPCs. (Sure I might be wrong and we will still need a super tower to hold our GFX).

WEIRD!!!

THAT IS A SCREWED UP NOCTUA FAN!!!

IT should NOT be like that. I have 4 of those fans here, all of them blow OUT the label-side.

Is it possible to get a pic of that fan without it moving, so we can see the sweep of the fan blades?

I see you changed the orientation of teh CPU heatsink, that should make CPU temps better, which can lower overall case temps!

Like, is'nt that cooler supposed to support another 90mm fan or something on the under-side, blowing on the socket? I haz a confuz!!!
