Not knowing where in the forums to post this.............

What could cause the screen to jump/flicker only when on IE or Chrome?
It jumps real bad when I am on a web page that has graphics involved (such as facebook apps/games or a video on youtube). I updated all drivers that I can think of. Could it be a addon for those type of apps on internet explorers? It doesn't do it on other programs such as WoW or any Window programs (other then IE and only when on a video based page).

<System specs should be listed.

Any other info needed feel free to ask me, please.

PS: when I went to preview this post it started jumping/flickering again :wtf:
Also, noticed that it only seems to do it when the window is maximized.

Hi

Try this - Windows Control Panel / Internet Properties / Advanced / select: Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering

Hi

After a little research, it appears that the HD 7770 has a issues with some hardware and the agressive power management set by AMD.

Power down the system

Remove the vga card and clean the PCIe blades with a coffee filter

Use an air duster to clean the PCIe slot on the motherboard

Reseat the card

Double check the 6 pin power cable, ensure it is seated firmly

Double check the monitor cable ensure it is seated firmly

.....................

Test with another monitor cable, if you have access to one

Test with another PSU, if you have access to one

Test the card in another PC, If you have access to one

.........................

Edit: set a system restore point

You could try raising the 2D clock by setting a profile in the ccc xml

open catalyst control centre [Preferences-Advanced View] select - performance/AMD Overdrive (leave this option open)

go to Presets/add Preset;Fill in Name e.g: Default vid OC /Location remove all ticks;select Save

NEXT

Goto Control Panel\ folder options/view - select - Show hidden files and folders

NEXT

open Computer/ explore C:\Users\*Your user profile*\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles/you should see your newly created Default vid OC.xml

NEXT

Highlite - Default vid OC.xml - press right hand mouse button - select edit

you will see - Feature name="CoreClockTarget_0

<Property name="Want_0" value="15700" />
<Property name="Want_1" value="55000" />
<Property name="Want_2" value="85000" />

raise the Want_0 value from 15700 to 40000 [40000=400Mhz]
this will adjust your core clock once you are in the windows enviroment and allows you to continue using AMD's Ulps settings.

Thanks
Now mine was set at 30000 to start.
Also, I only had 2 value strings there (these are the values I have)
<Property name="Want_0" value="30000" />
<Property name="Want_1" value="110000" />

I still bumped the one to 40000 as you said. I will have to see how that goes :)
