Hello, so i'm getting those blackscreen errors with this card (Sapphire HD7870 OC 2GB) with afterburner I lowered the voltage but checking with hwmonitor and other programs showed me it was fake and voltages stayed the same, but Trixx and Afterburner would let me do it.

Trying to solve blackscreen issues I flashed another bioses from ASUS models, it worked fine, but the blackscreens stayed.

Now I flashed back to my model with the bios hosted in this site, but I can't change the voltage in Afterburner anymore, it's empty now, I guess the bios isn't the same or something...

So could anyone with my card model open GPU-Z and post it for me please?
Also tell me if you experience blackscreens randomly, thanks!!!

Try this solution:
1) Flash one of the bioses: http://rghost.net/40622217 http://rghost.net/40676082 (both are from sapphire tech support, second with more high voltage and fresher).
2) Install 12.4 version of catalyst. Previous must be cleared with Driver Sweeper or Driver Fusion (it fixes jumping of frequency of GPU and MEMORY and that GPU is loads not more than 64%).
3) Turn off EnableULPS.
4) If you want to overclock you card, increase voltage up to 1.231 using MSI Afterburner (optional).

Should have taken a look on the net first and found out this is a known problem with the Sapphire 7870 OC version.

Complaint's on Newegg reviews and apparently complaints in forums about the card's trouble.

BTW when the poster said 'fresher' I think they meant later update.
Probably a voltage bump to resolve the issue with the card for whoever has the problem.

Yes, I've tried, it means, that sapphire's engineers tried to fix that problem, one of path to get stability is increase voltage (but not only this one). First bios from 26 sep, second from 28 sep.

Hi, im new around here, of course i have this problem with BS on the sapphire 7870 Ghz OC edition. Does this solution that u explained works? ... I only did the icrease voltage thing to 1.231, and it looks like the problem has gone. Right now im on 12.3 CCC, and the performance is great, now im downloading the 12.4 to compare results.
