Yes the exe's (The file for installation) and I am very much okay with the 1 drive option that would be enough and good

ya install exes would be fine but running games off a external HDD would hamper performance considerably

No I really don't do that I am s/w Test engineer so I know how to put them When we use External Drives to play games the system provide limited resources hence they show low performance so it is good to put them on the HDD only where the OS is installed.

Now the HDD and optical D plz..
