Hey guys,

I use i5-3570K and overclocked it at 4.4Ghz.

When I see the temperature, whether it's idle or under load, one core is always higher than the other 3 cores by at least 7 degrees celcius. Should I be worried?

Thanks!

It could be a sensor that is off (not quite accurate).
Or, have you check the TIM on the CPU to see if it is evenly spread?
Have you checked the cooler mounting to see if it is level and secured properly?

Run Realtemp and post your temps from a screenshots. Both idle and max. and run the sensor test and post a screenshot of that, too.

Edit:
Oops: thank you mod!
Now, you are reading minds... hmmm.

Don't worry about the difference in core temps. Just worry about distance to TJmax or Max Temps. Core 0 will always be higher than the other cores.

It happens with Intel cpu's. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks to everyone!

Temperature wise, I use CoreTemp and the RealTempGT; both seem to be aligned and consistent with each other.

When idle, I usually get:

22C
31C
23C
21C

When under Load

61C
69C
63C
62C.

Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
it has happened on all the CPUs iv had that were over 2 cores. the ones inbetween cores get hotter.

So... how do I measure my CPU Temperature...? Average of the 4?

I believe this is normal from what I have seen on the web and from the readings of my 2500K.

swchoi89, like the others have stated, those temps look fine and that little bit of a variation in the sensors are normal, IMO.:)

Edit:

So... how do I measure my CPU Temperature...? Average of the 4?

The easiest thing to do is, just, use the highest core temp as your guide.
