TPU blacklisted

As a mod I allow opinionated posts as long as they aren't attacking anyone. Who am I to tell members what to think or write? As long as the rules aren't broken or bent, we really cant abuse them for being "spirited".

I have been here for going on the 5th year. There have been several times another forum has come up. When this happened, there were only negative comments toward those forums. The majority of these posts from TPU members were saying other forum members were assholes or trolls or the mods were abusive.

TPU is not blacklisted, every other forum than your own is blacklisted. This applies to everyone.

As long as you've been here, I am surprised you haven't noticed the same.

Why take it personally? I fully understand that you got your information from somewhere you didn't bother to link to. I'm calling the information false, not you.

If anything, the way I see it, people come here with bad attitudes, then they leave with bad attitudes. What they say before, during or after makes no difference to me or the "listing" of the forum.

If anything this has nothing to do with other forums but our own getting overtly fanboyish yet again. Same thing happened with c2d came out.

Also he only reason I chose the term blacklisted is it seemed the simplest way to describe the post.

Yep. I wouldn't know how to do anything with that unless these posts are reported. Saying something like "X sucks or Z sucks" without any kind of explanation or out of context should be dealt with in some form or another. Moderators don't normally spend time reading through every thread.

I will have to agree that we could be a bit more cordial to new members, and to each other. There is quite enough animosity to go around, I see it every day.

If you have frustrations, take it out on your wife or dog, leave TPU alone

I guess I'm not getting this.

We allow people to say whatever they want on TPU as long as it's within the guidelines.
If someone has a bad experience on another forum and they say that here, it's not censored.
If someone does not like TPU it's not censored.
Nothing is "blacklisted" except spamming.
Nothing is removed except excessive trolling or flaming of other members or someone being a total asshat.
You guys know the rules.

Do you all not like this approach to an open forum? Let us know.

Thing is some of them have been reported and normally nothing is still done other than a "stay on topic post" until it gets really bad and we see threads locked or entire pages deleted.

AMD is consistently behind Intel when it comes to manufacturing process :shadedshu.

Let's take this post for instance. Has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a thread about APU's. In fact it is completely wrong. A couple posts down is an even stupider post.

(and it's not that i'm a Intel fanboi, i was pretty excited about bulldozer until the launch date was nearing... and leaked benchs showed it blew horse c*ck and was slower than the old cpus... but i still had faith thinking they where fake, then launch date came... and epic facepalm the truth was FAR WORSE than it appeared to be, the horse came in full in amd mouth and go to hell AMD i hope you go kaput)

Nothing just pointing out that just because some one say's some thing like this it doesn't represent the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It is an Opinion and just like assholes EVERY one has one. And just like assholes shit comes out of it all the time.

It should be some thing people take with a grain of salt. TPU is the best place to get information. Sure you have to weed through OPINIONS but that is just the way life is.

In a past internet life I was a mod at a forum that is far more unkind and much more unloving, even to the point of if you were nice you would get smacked around for fun. TPU is very mild, and I love to tell people I love them when they are being retarded, it makes me feel special in my special places.

i just absolutely love TPU but, not all of TPU absolutely loves me! Thats pretty much why I like what performs best when I am fishing out of season but other than that at least the population is civil and knowledgeable with out having to use live bait and all.

I noticed a bit of this too, the amd thing, i even wondered if somehow there was some "agenda" going on behind it, i don't like it either, it's rubbish not "opinion".[thats just my opinion lol]

I agree, I've lurked for a while, built a bunch of systems, lurked other places, but this irked me and want to post. This is the only tech site that I frequent. My reasons are the community, I chose between HF? I think it is, TH, AT...Just like this community. Thumbs up TPU.
