No do not say SSD, I am happy with my 3TB HDD, it boots win 8 in about 18 seconds, and loads games plenty fast, in fact I load up in BF3 and black ops 2 faster then most people.

Anything else? I was considering a dual monitor setup, but how does that work exactly? Like let's say I want to play a game on monitor 1, can I watch Netflix and browse the web with monitor 2 at the same time, like do I just move my mouse over and over and it automatically goes to monitor 2? Or do I have to hit something on keyboard to switch monitors?

I want to be able to max Tomb Raider coming out soon, at 8x AA and the works on Ultra... my 7950 at 1200 core should be fine?

I wouldn't mess with multiple monitors. I'd get one of those 27" IPS monitors from ebay and then I'd grab a 256 GB SSD. You might not think there's a point but there is, and it's the only place on your rig you're lacking. Both of those would fit that budget perfectly.

Your computer looks very well rounded as it is, it can probably max out TR

Any improvement will just force out a bottleneck and will not be worth the cost

Save your money for the next chipset/cpu socket. Or if you really need to spend them try getting some hard drugs. It's more entertaining that you'd think.

believe it or not I could point you in the direction of $400 keyboards. For around $700 we could get you 100% aluminum construction. lol

I am happy with my Razer black widow and razer naga epic... tried many others, but I just am so used to these two I see no reason to change.

Depth - I don't do drugs, but thanks for the idea lol

landerf- SSD's are overrated, even when I played WoW my SSD would load stuff faster yes but it wasnt all that impressive imo. /shrug

Can you recommend a 27" IPS off Ebay? I have been browsing, and am not sure what to go with, irun is a new brand I never heard of but it is cheapest... >.>

I would buy random mouses, fans, leds and crap or a nice monitor or an overpriced gfx card.

I am going to say SSD anyhow. The access, read write and copy speeds, iops along with loading games and windows is noticably faster and the biggest bottleneck in your system is the HDD period. You do not need a large SSD, 120/128Gb will do for OS and games. The majority of enthusiasts use a SSD and a 1T HDD for data and miscelaneous storage. You will still have plenty of $ for a dual monitor setup.

A dual monitor setup extends the desktop as you said so you can run netflix on 1 monitor and surf on the other where the mouse can go back and forth. If you still don't buy into the SSD, another 7850 crossfired with 2 monitors would be the ultimate setup and your gaming will improve more.

I do actually. 1 hr 45 min from chicago is where I live. and they have a micro center... I am going to have to give them a ring and ask if they have any in stock.

edit: just checked micro centers website, cheapest one is $399.99 :( might as well just do Ebay and save the gas i guess... recommend one off ebay?

I'd get this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CROSSOVER-27Q-LED-High-Resolutio-n-2560x1440-QHD-DVI-D-Dual-S-IPS-27-Monitor-/110867210291?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item19d0336033

Pricier model and seller than most, but it has the best build quality and that seller has a very good reputation for both returns and sending out good panels.

After reading that I have to ask whether you actually kept track of how many times you put in the 50c? Over a period of 5 years that could be quite a lot, esp given it's a private bar, which makes it sound like you go there a lot.

Anyways, if not the display, maybe a sound upgrade, depending what speakers you have. You can actually get a complete 5.1 Speaker set and receiver for less than $600.

ah my dad pays the 50 cents each time. he is the bar manager, lol

also... good idea. i could use a nice sound system. but may have to settle for some nice audiophile cans, neighbors would get pissed at me.

Nice to win something at last, isn't it? :D

Anyway, perhaps you could put that money aside for a rainy day (terribly unexciting, of course). Or maybe just go all out and put it towards the new GeForce Titan graphics card just because you can? If the card costs $900, then it effectively becomes $300, which is very affordable for that level of performance.

Or you could give that money to your favourite charity.

I really want a 1440p monitor, so I think I am going to go that route. Unsure if I want a Korean model or a $700 Asus 1440p. Thoughts?

If you go Asus you get more connectivity, but slower response time. You might not have to pay as much for return shipping but it's expensive either way. I would not expect a quality difference. I see just as much if not more backlight bleed on $1000 displays.

The only reason I hesitate to recommend a 1440p display is it could suddenly make your single 7950 seem inadequate in the more resource hungry games. The stands are also of questionable quality on the cheaper Korean ones.

That said, you can always upgrade the stand eventually and play the games with high end graphics at 1080p, which still has acceptable pixel size on a 27".
