Its a fun game but the starter mech is definitely worth using long term, I found a code for more $ and bought the scout, which really sucked.

I just got hawken and i love it. They definitely need to add more maps to the game but hey its an open beta. the audio is great whoever handled that deserves a raise and the graphics are awesome for a free game for the beta to even have physx surprised me. the cockpit view is good and Honestly I just generally like the game. They need to add more cardinal directions to the compass though and make the letters bigger.

That or they need to name certain areas of the map so that team coordination is better. I would also really like to see more then 6v6 too. Though honestly i may be coming up with alot of short comings but the game brings alot for a beta and its really a great game. a bit simple but i play it casually and im not to worried about balance issues or repetitive play its a new game it happens im sure it will only get better if the cool shit in the beta is any indication of their development skill.

my 2c

That's the problem with f2p. they always come out in beta stages, then people get bored due to lack of content.

I am trying Mech warrior, I also installed Hawken.
I was hoping for 3rd person with one of them, but neither has it..lol.. Ugh.
That one thing, will likely make me pass on both of them, in the long term..
Which SUCKS, because I freaking love mech games. Ever since Armored core.

But no one wants to make an armored core online.. ; ;..
I think Hawken is closer to Armored core than Mech warrior, for sure though..
Idk.. I may try it..

MWO has third person does it not?

I wish.. Nope.. But it is very very pretty.
Better looking imo than Hawken.. Idk
I don't like the film grain type filter, you have to look through.
Might look better without it.

Also in MWO you "Feel" big..
In Hawken, I just feel kinda insignificant. Idk why..

I like Hawken, it's fun once in a while. Hawken and MWO really don't compare to Mech Warrior Living Legends though. If you have Crysis Warhead/Wars, it's a free mod. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed them both. Although I did tire of Hawken first. MWO does have the "I am in a big ass robot" feel to it. I do like MWLL but something just seems "off" about it to me. I can't quite put my finger on it, it may be the scale...

Hawken is fun, just be careful not to burn yourself out on it.

I have uninstalled Hawken, MWO and MWLL (even though MWLL isn't really a beta..) for quite some time now, but I may jump back in once the beta stages are over. So many bugs!!!

Edit: Also, I would love an SLI profile for MWO.... been waiting for that for a looong time.

Keep waiting for MWO the matchmaking is screwed right now and there still way behind on content.
Hawken is kinda underwhelming as others have said you really don't get that mech feel from it.
MWO on the other hand is plagued by horrible devs and a horrible community.

Also MW:LL is officially dead along with the MW4 F2p release from mektek you can thank PGI for that.

it sucks to be a fan of mech games and a pc gamer nowadays, im tempted to get a ps3 to play armored core.

I think PS2 Armored core were better.

Tried MWO, and didn't like it. I like Hawken, waiting for new maps and customizations.

On topic: If hawken had better damage recreation and get rid of being able to see the "health meters" of other players it would definitely be a step in the right direction (same with MWO).

I really do like MWO. I just want them to bring back things like mech knockdowns and of course proper matchmaking. They keep listening to people whine about certain aspects and are losing a large portion of their active community. I wish they would say F*** the whiners and bring back aspects that made Mechwarrior so great. This 8v8 tiny map shite gets old pretty damn fast. Don't get me started on the ECM nonsense either. :shadedshu

I would pay cold hard cash for a good single player campaign that followed canon, but that's a whole 'nother ballpark.

What is this?

I never heard of that.. It's pretty?
Is is detailed and actualized?
Or is it just a hollow shooter?
A lot of customization?
Third person? lol.. I am going to check it out.
Do you "Feel" big.. Like you do in MWO?

(EDIT: MWLL is "Dead"?) :(

I am enjoying MWO though. I like it better than Hawken.. I just feel like I am in a big, kick ass mech, when I play MWO. I feel like I am in a model airplane, when I play Hawken.

PS: yea ECM can be pretty lame..
