Give it up already....

Its a public forum, the OP can do what he wants as long as he doesn't break the terms set forth by the admins of TPU.

I don't care if the OP wants to be an Emo mess (not that this is) about this, as long as he stays in the rules, he is allowed to do so. Take a protip from Thumper's mother in Bambi. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all;)

Not sure why you think anyone was lying, other then the OP.

PPS said that xspc was not contactable because of Chinese new year but sonda5 contacted them.

****Only reason I am commenting so much is the OP needs to direct his frustration with the manufacturer, not the retailer. And the extent that he is blaming the retailer is beyond called for.****

Similar to what I said.

That 10% back should just about cover shipping back. For an RMA you would get a refund back. Then just don't buy anything xspc again.

Might as well just accept the offer.

I got the 10% off by going to the company direct. PPCS didn't offer it to me.
I guess I have gotten spoiled with Amazon on the high level of customer service they always offer me.

I hate having to pay to ship the video block back because I already paid once to have it shipped to me. I realize XSPC is ultimately responsible for the build quality.

I was very patient with PPCS. I called and emailed them many times about this problem and I felt like I was getting the run around and when I caught them in the lie about the New Year Chinese holiday it bothered me.

I ordered about $700 of water cooling equipment from them in the last 2 weeks.

I did contact paypal buyer protection and they told me that they would help me out and seemed understanding. I hope Paypal is able to aid me with this problem. I really feel that if I buy something and it has a problem then the seller is responsible for correcting a problem with an item at their expense.

Wasn't a fare deal to me.

Comparing Amazon to PPCs is pretty amusing to be honest....however, Amazon.com's return policy: "Shipping and handling charges for returning items shipped by a seller are borne by the buyer." (Yes there are a handful of exception items where they do free return shipping; surprisingly computers, computer parts, and electronics in general are not included)

The thing is, it's not like you received something broken. No part of the retailer's actions resulted in the product you received. The product is the exact product anyone would get if they purchased from any retailer. If you are unhappy with your product, you have to follow the refund/return policy of any retailer. Even though you "really feel" that these aren't fair to you, which is truly unfortunate, it doesn't change that you still have to abide by them.

@ the "lies" going on: XSPC was out of office on holiday, and they acknowledged they were out of office on holiday and had just returned. They also acknowledged they were having issues with losing emails. I must be mistaken where the "lies" are occurring.

Howard, "being patient" doesn't involve flooding a company's inbox with emails and expect results within 12 hours. You should probably seek legal advice about the possibilities of a law suit, that's probably the next best bet after your PayPal Buyer's Protection claim is denied.

.

Amazon has always done me right.

I call it how I see it. They told me X and I found X to be not true. To me it seemed like I got the run around. The day before I was asked to get them photos and they could get an answer for me in a few hours. After I provided photos I got the Chinese Holiday excuse/lie whatever you want to call it.

After paypal does their thing I will let it rest.

I have no intentions on going to court over this. It's petty yet significant. I will file a claim with the BBB and I will not shop there anymore.

PPCS isn't even answering the phone when I call them. I have left 4 voice mails with them this week and they haven't called me back.

I am sorry PPCS and I have not been able to work things out without the help of paypal. PPCS is ignoring paypals investigation right now as well. They need to contact paypal and talk to them about the paypal guidelines for paypal buyer protection. PPCS policies don't dictate the policies of the the paypal service. When PPCS agrees to use paypal they agree to work with paypal policies and their customer base.

My mini-ITX build is on hold till I get this problem worked out.

Honestly, as a business owner myself, at this point I would ignore your calls too.

With a valid customer problem?

Why would you ignore your customer? I would never do that.

They are aware of your problem. Sending too many emails and phone calls isn't going to make that any more so. They have already told you what they can/will do. Some customers can't be pleased (in the context of making a good business decision).

Just stating my opinion. Oh well.

I guess they don't have to talk to me or paypal. They can just ignore me and paypal but then they will lose all of the money that I paid for this block and that is not my intention.

I really think good communication in a business is key to success for long lasting business.

Spam =/= communication. Sorry Howard, no one is going to believe all the lies in the world that you want to post here now, and frankly don't care about your mITX build either. They have communicated with you, you just don't seem to respond well to communication that you do not like to hear.

The only real reason I bought this block was because I think I can mod it to fit the Vapor X HD7950.

The one with the monsta rad. I quite like it.

Thanks.

G8R has got me wrong. I really need to LOL  about his Truth is out there image. He is so certain that I am lying and he is totally incorrect in his assumption.

I have some creative plans for the XSPC block mixed with the Vapor X HD7950. I took a chance on the Vapor X. I could have ordered another HD7950 that could fit a full cover block but I went with the Vapor X and the XSPC block for the challenge of the build and because the Vapor X HD7950 looks like a great card but it needs some improved cooling and water cooling it to me is a great challenge.

I have a Heat Killer block on my Sapphire 950mhz Edition and it fits perfect. I did alot of research on blocks that could possibly fit the Vapor X and I chose the XSPC block for some unique features about it that right now I'd rather not share because I want it to be a surprise.

Custom modding this XSPC block wouldn't be the first time I have modded a block to work on a video card.

Here is my late and great GTX 560 ti 448 that I modded a block to fit.

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160614

The card also performed great. Still have the number 1 3dMark11 score at HWBOT.org in its class.

http://hwbot.org/submission/2259829_sonda5_3dmark11___performance_geforce_gtx_560_ti_448_7954_marks

I'd rather have a full cover properly designed block that cools the video card but in the case of the MSI PE GTX 560 ti 448 nobody made a full cover block that fit it and the same situation exist with the Sapphire Vapor X HD7950.

Not lying about anything. Look at the photos that I posted at OCN.

The XSPC block that I received has some circular mill marks on the contact surface of the ram and gpu area and it has some minor copper burs that should not be there. The copper burs can easily fall off and hit an electrical component of the video card and possibly short it out. (worst case scenario)

I have the tools and know how to fix this block but I shouldn't have to.

Earlier today PPCS did contact me. After 2 days of me asking them to call me and after Paypal took back the money that I paid PPCS for my order. We worked out a deal. PPCS agreed to give me a $15 refund. I contacted Paypal and I was advised to wait till PPCS paid me the $15 refund and then Paypal would release the money that paypal is holding to them. I contacted PPCS and asked them to give me the $15 refund and Hank seemed very aggravated in the email he sent me. He told me that I was playing games. He then said that he would not honor the $15 refund that he told me that he would give me earlier because he expected me to cancel claim with Paypal even though paypal advised me not to cancel the claim till PPCS gave the refund.

Paypal told me that if I canceled the claim I would lose my buyer protection claim protection and it was most safe for me to not cancel till PPCS gave me $15 refund.

Yup. That was a mistake on my part and really has taken back some of my confidence in the proper mounting with the XSPC block but if you look at my modded 560ti 448 block I had to run the mount with only 2 out of 4 corner holes because it was such a tight and odd fit.

I'd much rather have 4 mount spots around the die but I think 3 can work out and I plan on using CL Liquid Pro between the block and die and I will not need alot of pressure since it spreads so thin. I just have to be gentle with the mount to avoid any bowing on the block or PCB.

My mod ideas will not work on any other blocks. XSPC is the best candidate for my mod idea.

First of all there is 4 mounting holes for the block just one is moved farther up and to the right.
2nd this is not PPCs problem since they diden't make the product they are only a retailer that sells products from different companys and like alot of other retail stores they have the same RMA practice you pay the shipping back and they replace the time and ship it back to you. Name one retail store not manufacturer but retail store that pays for the shipping? I bet you will have a hard time. Most retail stores will only offer return shipping if they have there own products too and thats what failed. YOU NEED TO CONTACT XSPC ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND NOT PPC

Like when my firest set of g skill ripjaws arived DOA i contacted the retail store they said i have to pay for the shipping back. But then i contacted g skill them selfs and they send me a postage paid shipping label and little box. Boom a week later i got a nice new set of ram in the mail and working nicely as i type this

Thanks for the support. I did talk to XSPC about my problem and they offered 10% refund only if PPCS was willing to do it. XSPC RMA has to be sent to china and that is probably why no offer of free shipping to China was given. Cost alot more money to ship to China for repair. Gskill has their RMA support here in the states and shipping in USA is much less money. Gskill actually has great customer service and I have had to do RMAs with them as well.

My concern for free shipping is because I noticed the problem as soon as I got it. I don't think I should have to pay to ship a bad item back when I just paid to have it shipped to me.

This XSPC block is hard to find any where and I really want it but the mill marks and burs bother me. I worked out a $15 refund with PPCS as and I hope later on today PPCS will honor it.

My experience is that many companies will pay to ship back a bad product if they send out a bad product to begin with.

I don't think the 4th hole far away from the gpu die area is as effective as using the mount hole for the die.

Companies =/= retailers. That is what everyone is telling you, but you still do not seem to understand the difference. You always seem to ignore everything people say to this regard and still play this poor helpless victim who just wants some free money for being "wronged". You think that everyone has intentionally wronged you, and you should be above the rules. I pray that your children aren't as lost as you are.

You are the epitome of a terrible customer. I can not wait til you are on the receiving end of a situation like this, karma always happens.

You seem to think that the seller is totally irresponsible of the item sold. I have handled this situation before in my life and I had no problem rising up and taking care of business.
