Recommend a fully programmable Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Well after one that last longer than the current one i have which is a Razer blackwidow and after 6 months and having it replaced once before for the some old reason i like to find out if there is more options now available than there was 2 years ago.

Requirements
fully Programmable
full size
Well made keys ( ones that don't rub of after a month )

As i don't type all that much switch type has to be good for gaming and i do like the blues but maybe there is others i would like too.

Have one of this for the past 2 years with 0 problems, and by the way this is the only gaming KB on the market, everything else named "gaming" it´s just marketing.

I run a Black Widow. HOWEVER the software for Razer products blows leprous goats. If you need something programmable STAY AWAY FROM RAZER. If you just want a basic mechanical keyboard their mechanical is hard to beat for the price.

Wow... I'm also in the market for a mech keyboard (gonna be my first one) and I was thinking about buying the K90 or K710+... I think I'm gonna have to wait for reviews on that Roccat keyboard... Any idea when it'll be released?

Saw a live demo of a working prototype at CES. If I had to guess, if everything goes well, a couple months tops.

I mean they had it hooked up to an iPhone and was doing all sorts of cool tricks with it. Just amazing for what we are used to from a keyboard

Actually forgot about this one, i believe BT posted it a few weeks ago and that video just makes me want to play it again and again lol.

I guess you not seen any kind of price tag for it when it does get released ?

Rubber dome is just not good gaming\anything even IBM knew that way back when.

All I remember about pricing was they said it would be competitive with other much less extravagant solutions.

Who would've thought that you'd be needing processors for a keyboard? :laugh:

I'm guessing it's price is gonna be steep but if works flawlessly and the reviews are good I might get one. I've never used any of their products but I've heard good things about them and it's quite easy to get there products here in our place compared to some of the other manufacturers.

Well i payed $140 for my blackwidow and it's been nothing but crap lol.. And they are by that video doing cheaper versions to which is pretty cool.

Only issue is waiting hehe.

Don't you mean the G710+????

Also Logitech Gaming Software is very stable. No problems so far and very low resource usage.

My flatmate has the G710+. The keyboard is almost as good as my Filco majestouch 2 in terms of build quality (the plastic of the G710 isnt top qual) and it also has tons of extra (programmable) keys. The logitech keyboard software works very well and detailed profiles for each specific game can be made. If you have the money to spare I highly recommend it. Be prepared though, it requires TWO USB plugs and it won't accept more than 6 simultaneous key inputs.

K90 isn't fully mechanical. Corsair has an updated version, the K95, that is fully mechanical. It's not out yet though. There have been rumours of a K65 in the same vein. Either way, that Roccat Ryos MK looks pretty good.

Ive had a razer lycosa for the passed 4+ years, I havent had a SINGLE issue with it. and its still running like it came out of the box

Just had to make sure that nkey roll over worked for every key as by that video they could of just mean the 3 thumb keys so for the sake of it i emailed them for a 100% positive reply and how long they would take which was only a few days..thanks for your interest in ROCCAT.

The Ryos MK keyboard series will of course provide n-key rollover on the whole keyboard and not only on the thumbster buttons.

Out of the blue they emailed me again saying the KB should be due in may

the release is planned for Q2 2013, probably mid / end of May. But there is no exact date yet.
