Cut the harddrive cage out and installed my h100i's 240 radiator in the front. Fits perfectly and I like how the hoses are straightish across unlike a top mount setup which would have them curved and clumped up at the top. The hoses are not stretched, they are actually slack. In the future, I want to cut more out of the front portion of my hd cage so that there is less restriction for the fan blowing in.

I want to cut out the HDD cage from my Phantom Enthusiast Full case, always liked having that extra room around the front. What tool did you use? I think mine is just alluminium anyway, but they attached it with those stupid punch hole things instead of screws... :shadedshu

You probably mean rivets. Mine was both riveted top and bottom and part of the motherboard back plate. I had to cut it free of the back plate and drill out the rivets. I used a rotary tool (black and decker, like a dremel) with a heavy duty metal cut off wheel. The good news is rivets are really easy to remove. Just pick a drill bit slightly larger than the center hole in the rivet.

My cage is literally two sheets of metal, not quite the quality i expected from NZXT, but i at least expected some damn screws. I was going to get a C70 (which incidentally DOES have screws to remove the drive cage) but I'm a sucker for big white cases.
I'll borrow the SCS drill bits from work and give it a go, last time i removed rivets they practically fell to bits anyway.

If its only riveted in, worst case you can easily reinstall it by re-rivetting it.

I would rather hang myself with a gym sock than use rivets for anything ;)

The one thing I am wondering is if I would be better off blowing out the front rather than blowing in. There is only one exhaust fan, its the back 120mmx38mm fan. I removed the top fan because I don't want spills going in it.

Well I have 1 rear fan exhausting, 2 x 200mm fans at the top behind my H100, plus the 2 H100 fans below it, so all my air gets thrown out of the top.
Most people recommend having your fans on the radiator blowing cold air in over the rad as oppose to pushing interior warm over the fins. Besides, hot air naturally rises, best to go out the top and suck in from the bottom (a la bottom front in your case).
