Im actually a little more excited now after reading about Frostbite 3.0. Which I think should be more like Frostbite 2.5 but regardless.

Ha ! Well yeah it would be more like 2.5 then 2 is :wtf: Good addition on your part.
Now with that said how does your own medicine taste:roll:

And had to look up Danger Close to see who they were, I understand your worries now. But sadly (sounds weird saying it like this) I don't think it will be handed off. BF3 went more mainstream to grab COD players, and I have a gut rotting feeling it's going to keep riding that line (this is why the destruction was toned down, and why we had taller buildings and more hallways in my opinion.

Yeah, I think from what I have seen of EA so far, they are going to suck the blood out of this series. Especially with the returning CEO that is famous for doing just that. I can only hope with a large dose of skepticism that BF4 will be worthwhile. I find myself playing less and less games and when I do, it tends to go the Bohemia Interactive route since they don't seem to screw over the player base and modding is supported from the beginning. ^_^ I believe it was Patrick Bosch(sp?) who said that the modding community is mostly dead......um ArmA? Minecraft? countless other games? maybe for the BF series it is because you are making it that way.

LOL yea 6 months after it releases they will make you pay for another premium premium that has a higher premium that the original premium!

and they won't advertise that the maps are smaller and the first two weeks of game launch they will cripple all of the servers because of heavy user load. just steer clear of this for about a month after launch.

Seems logic. Why waste money on development on something they need to cap for console anyway.

Patrick Bach: The demo you saw was single-player. The most important lesson we learned was, let's not try to make something that is not Battlefield. It's needs to be more Battlefield. It sounds a bit quirky, but it's actually that simple. We have the heritage. We know what Battlefield has been and we know where we want to take it. We don't want to get rid of what Battlefield stands for. We want to make it more like that.

They will just polish up BF3 so its as good as BF2 (commander etc) and viola ggz.

Damn, I hope so. That's what they should have done in the first place. The only thing people really wanted was BF2 with modern graphics. I'm not sure why the hell that is so hard for them to figure out. In today's environment "innovation" usually means dumbed down for the controller swine, or groupthink for we didn't have enough time and resources to do what we really envisioned so we'll pawn it off as a golden turd.

throw money at ArmA 3 if you want to throw money at something besides a stripper/hooker. At least you can play it and such. Im waiting until BF4 beta comes to see if it is worth it.

So, if people want to fight and call each other names in this thread, the thread will not be closed but those doing these things will be infracted and/or banned. Keep this in mind.

(I deleted a couple posts for those who have no idea what I'm saying :))

Also, this thread is now in the games section. This thread is for discussion of this game and nothing more.

Good. So... BF4, here we go again. I personally wasn't expecting a revolution so all looks good for now, irrelevant SP but a nice introduction to what this game is all about, multi-player spiced with improved destruction and graphics. What worries me though is the price we have to pay lately for some PC gaming fun. Preorder for Standard Ed. is 60 Euro, Digital Deluxe is 70 Euro. If they dump some microtransactions and premium/ultra/limited/season pass kinda stuff into it, I'll have to take out a credit to feed my addiction.

Eh, Trying to carbon copy things of the past and adding on slightly newer things many times just doesn't translate well. BF2 was a long time ago, I'm not saying some of those features in that game weren't great, but lets be honest, so many people were tearing up for a comma rose, now how many here use this feature regularly?

I think they had something with the destruction, and would much rather see a greater integration of that than something like a commander for the match. I really don't want to be relying on someone else to make or break the team with leadership skills.

I paid close to $50 15 years ago. I was thinking last night for the way the price has gone up on everything else games have held pretty steady. I don't take in to account the money I have to dump into upgrading every 2 years though
