Yup, pretty good if you are not going to be overclocking. Both your motherboard and CPU will not overclock if you are ok with that.

I would go with a different case, but that's just my personal preference.

i know the 7950 is better than the regular GTX 660 but i cant afford that thing since im buying an iphone 5-----
the only thing i may overclock is GPU
another thing would it be better if i would buy an i3 3220 or (FX 6100) and buy a better GPU?????

Personally I'd go with an AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core CPU (& mobo) - as its cheaper where I am. It may make enough difference to be able to afford a 660ti over a plain 660. Either that, or spend a little extra and get a 3570K (for overclocking goodness). I'd also go with the WD black edition over red, as you're aiming for gaming (rather than a NAS drive).

If you can stand Windows 8 then got for it... but personally I prefer 7.

Don't disregard the 20-to-40% boost provided by overclocking. For just a little more $ you can get an unlocked CPU, Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turb..., and a Z77 motherboard, GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA ..., and these parts are basically designed for OCing. With a $35 air cooler, hyper 212 evo,
you can easily achieve a 26% OC (4.3 GHz) and still keep full load temps below 60c. It's very easy to get started, and once you do it's addictive, and you'll learn a lot about how your PC works.

I wouldn't load windows and games on a 128 SSD. That'll use up most of your SSD and we all know performance starts to become sucky when you get past 50% of capacity. After 75%, it's noticeable and much worse at 90+%

Add an SSD, dont buy an iPhone 5 because you will likely be bitterly disappointed like many customers i know of, and get a better graphics card along with a z77 mobo and i5 3570k. You might be happier that way. Also PSU is overkill, 650watt would be overkill, but mighty comfy for future needs.

Get the Corsair version of the Seasonic to save money. Get a different case because the level 10 is expensive.

Get the WD black instead of Red. Cost difference is really not that much.

Get SSD and/or a bigger and better display. These days, 24" are dirt cheap and 27" are affordable so there's no reason not to. The 27" makes a a huge difference for me when gaming, watching movies and reading.

It should handle any game on the market at Higher settings, but Ultimate settings with full shadows and AA are always gonna drop the frame rate some. The 2GB GDDR5 card is basically the best possible card for a desktop PC right now.

What does that mean? That it's the "sweet spot"? I thought the 660 Ti was the optimal price/performance point.

By that I mean card memory size is basically a marketing technique dating back to when memory was at a premium, and anything over 1GB isn't getting used for 99% of normal users. 2GB is very unnecessary, but GDDR5 cards generally have more streams and higher clock speeds among other things, and those are actually important for gaming. A 2GB GDDR5 is going to be on the higher end of card performance and almost certainly has higher overall stats than any 1GB GDDR5 card.

Basically the only other card out right now that normal people can afford are 3GB GDDR5 cards, but those are still several hundred dollars at the moment (for a nice one with high numbers across the board). Hence, a 2GB GDDR5 card is as good as it gets for normal people right now.

What are you saying? Have you seen any memory usage charts lately? On 1080p, will high settings you undoubtedly want 2GB of vRAM for modern games. 1GB is too little for the majority of modern titles. Here is a link to some testing that was done at my home site...

"Several" hundred? Dude a 7950 is $290 card, thats a "couple" hundred, not a few, and certainly not several.

I anticipated some nerd rage and semantics confusion on this one. I probably should have used the adjective 'few' when describing the card price, rather than 'several'. It was just a way to demonstrate the cost going far beyond that of a 1GB GDDR5 card. As far as in-game, real world difference on any 16:9 resolution, I do not doubt you have benchmarks proving whatever it is you were proving. I've seen tons of benchmarks and reports and yadda yadda from various hardware communities, but I only care about seeing a sizable difference during game play, on my screen in front of me. For every 10 reports you find that say video memory is the most important thing for gaming, I could find 10 reports saying otherwise. I installed Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider to see how high I could go and my 1GB GDDR5 card handled 1080 on High settings with shadows turned up just fine. If you went and bought a $400 4GB GDDR5 card right now, chances are you have a bottleneck somewhere else in your system that negates the extra super juice in your card.

A 2GB GDDR5 card isn't even "recommended" on any game I can find right now, but yes it would be better to own if you wanted to spend the money. A 3GB card is complete and total overkill unless you are doing AutoCAD or some other crazy shit. My point was the vRAM is a selling point on cards as it's the universal way people describe cards to each other. I don't know anyone who tells people "My new card is sick, it's got 640 stream units, 40 texture units and a 4.5GHz memory clock!"

Nerd rage? LOL, just correcting the misinformation that was posted (that I put in bold)...

Not saying its the most important thing, I didn't even allude to that fact even. But having enough video ram is a consideration for 1080p gaming at the highest settings. 2GB is the norm and is what should be purchased these days for those that want to play at 1080p with all the eye candy with modern games. To suggest less is leading people astray at best.

If you went and bought a $400 4GB GDDR5 card right now, chances are you have a bottleneck somewhere else in your system that negates the extra super juice in your card.
There are certain circumstances where you are right (like pairing such a card with a 4 year old CPU perhaps), but if anyone has half a clue, they wouldnt be doing that in the first place. Any decent modern PC will not hold back that card... especially if one overclocks (which is not as common here as my home site, but still).

EDIT: Part of the reason for the 7790 and 650ti Boost was the move to 2GB to play at 1080p specifically. I have the Nvidia press release that states that was their goal. 7770 has 1GB, and 650ti has 1GB as well (its 2GB variant is only 128bit which can choke at 1080p so that is why the boost uses 192bit 2GB).

exactly, 2GB vram was the main reason i purchased my 7870. I wanted ultra settings @1080P and this card delivers.

Okay, I see what you mean, and you're right, 1 Gb memory is the hallmark of a low end card. I paid a premium for my EVGA GTX 660 Ti SC+ 3GB DDR5 with backplate ($350), but I have plans to upgrade to a dual monitor setup, and the backplate makes it look a lot cleaner.
