I'd rather some competent devs be licensed to put out something in the Jedi series than have it only open to modders. I don't think Lucas realizes what he did when he let Disney buy all his IP.

In what way does this prevent anything else Jedi Knight being made? It doesn't. It's ten years since the last game, it's not like devs were queing to get the license anyway.

Besides, I thought most people thought Lucas did nothing good with the IP anyway?

So source code=up for grabs in every way possible yes? as in a modders wet dream? i'd think there'd be people all over this. Hell if the source code for KotOR1+2 came out i'd be googling every day for new mods for it.

The Jedi stuff was just a niche within a series of SW games, the universe itself has gone on, including via other titles that have light sabers in them.

It doesn't, I'm just saying a qualified dev team could probably put out a full campaign in a decent time frame and of acceptable quality, whereas big mod projects can take years and often never see completion.
