Hey,

I was thinking of purchasing a dedicated PhysX card to go along with my 2xGTX670s FTW 2GB. I was looking at the GT640, however I thought maybe the gtx650 would be better. I would be okay with the ti version but no ti boost(I'd prefer a smaller card). My question is which GTX650 should I get and does 1GB or 2GB make a difference in PhysX cards?

P.S. My budget is preferably around/below $175.00 and any other suggestions are fine for different cards, however I DO NOT WANT A BOTTLENECK, I'll spend more if it means ill prevent one.

Thanks

The 650 non ti would do the job but don't pay more for 2gig as physx is fine with 512 never mind 1gig, id personally get a second hand 560 As its the One for price v performance .

Don't waste your money on a dedicated PhysX card, the GTX670s can handle PhysX themselves without any problem, PhysX takes very little GPU power to actually do the calculations. Plus there just aren't enough hardware accelerated PhysX games.

Kinda reasonable summation as there is little to gain from physx anyway and I know t from experience. But I still have to play all games at max I can so I am ok with messing about with tech.

Try to find a deal on an old, used gtx 9800 or gts 250. That should do the job if you absolutely need a dedicated card.

I play games such as Metro 2033 and Last Light, as well as borderlands 2. Those are the only ones I can think of that use PhysX. It looks as if I won't purchase one just yet because these cards can handle it already.

640GT with 384 core is enough and its not to expensive either, apparently its the same as 650GTX which is also 384core, the only difference is it has faster vram bandwidth.
