Hi,
Well I actually only just got the computer my system specs says and I was gna use the intergrated 6150 till I could afford it, then my bro bought home this X1650 Pro and said I could use it for ayear or 2 until he wants it for some reason, so year and upgrade fomr 6150. The thing is I don't know were this card stands. Is it better then 6600gt? By how much? How much worse then 7600gt? How much worse then X1900 or 1950? I want to know all about it and you can compare it to all the cards around it like 6600 series, 6800 series, X1600 series, 7600 series, 7900 series and 1950 series. Thanks.

If you want to know how good it is.
The X1650Pro is the original X1600XT, which performs inferior to the 7600GT but is certainly faster than the 7600GS. (Forget about the 6600:respect: )
The X1950 series and the 7900/7950 series just blows them out of the water. (Simply not the same grade)

For free it's nice. If you have $100 and can Crossfire, NewEgg has x1300XTs for $56, and they're the same specs as the x1600XT and x1650 Pro. Perform the same too, from the benchmarks I've seen. They use GDDR2 instead of 3, and the x1650XT has 24pipes instead of 12. The 1300, 1600XT and 1650Pro all have 12.

I just upgraded from a 1600XT and I was pretty happy with it :) I only upgraded because it was a free trade to my friend so he could crossfire 1600XTs

You can do some reading and comparisons on video cards here: http://www.gpureview.com/

Remember the 6100/6150 chipset gpu's are basically 6200 video. So that X1650 Pro is a much better gaming card for you. Congrats!

My X1600Pro runs at a higher core clock than the X1600XT:p

Stock or overclocked?

I mean sure, my x1950Pro's core is 20mhz faster than the x1950XT, and the ram is only 46mhz slower, but that's overclocked :)

The X1600XT and the Pro has the same core, so OC will give the same performance for the core.
What I meant was why get a X1300XT if you can get a X1650Pro?

2x x1300XT > x1650Pro. Which is my initial argument lol

That HIS X1300XT Turbo crap is basically the same thing as a X1650Pro and will more than likely cost the same.:respect:
The price difference between them is non-existence.
Don't bother CF low end cards. Soft CF isn't that impressive.

That's a bit off target, lol. So how much better is the MSI X1650 Pro then the 6600GT Extreme(came pre overclocked)? I'm not overclocking this video card coz my bro will probebly want it back when I buy a new video card, it's just a lengthy borrow.

They're good enough. Comparible to the 7600 series.

Forget about the 6 series... the 6600GT is nowhere near the X1650 pro... that doesn't mean its the best. But it will play any game atm at medium settings and medium resolution great.

Pretty much to sum that all up, because people drifted away from the topic and began to argue over whether or not x1300xt's are better than the x1650 pro, just take the card and be happy because it will play Oblivion on high settings with about 30 fps outside an Oblivion Gate, and like 60 fps inside a house with lots of people, depending on your RAM and processor. Any card that can play Oblivion decently is good enough to play anyother game out there. I had an x1600xt and I performed about the same. And yes, it runs almost paralel to the 7600. My friend gets only like 10 more fps than me in Oblivion with his 7600GTS, and higher clocked processor.

yeah, I play oblivion on 1280x1024 with most settings up like 2/3 except view distance(it's the hard to run setting). I don't think even the best computers around can run oblivion with everything including view distance at full speed, at least that's what I heard. It runs Toca 3 at full settings also. Thanks for the help, I'm very happy with it anyway I just wanted to know wether other ppl thought it was good too.

How do u know how much I paid? I got the Athlon 3800+ X2 for $160 brand new at a shop in Sydney, the 1gb DDR2 667 dual channel ram for $121 at the same shop aswell as the board for $132. And my brother bought me the video card and he said in a few years when I don't want it or if he needs it for some reason I can give it back. I got the case and psu etc... all from a computer that I bought on ebay for $121 that has an Xp 2600+ and 512mb ddr ram, and I sold the cpu and ram but used tha case, psu, fans etc.. and I bought the hard disk for like $80 a year or so ago at the shop I got my cpu,ram and board from. Do you actualy think my rig is good? I thought compared to some ppl on this site it would be crap. I really like it coz i'v been using 800mhz duron for about a year and before that 450mhz P2 and 486. lol. I was behind then but not now. I love being able to play all games and it was realy good when my bro got that card for me. lol, I asked him to put the system together although I can but I trust him more(more experience) and he asked me to go take some 1ghz celeron board out of it's case for some reason while he snuck the card in. lol. I noticed after I went to plug the speaker in coz he forgot and there was a DVI to VGA adapter. lol.
