So when I recently received my EK Supremacy water block, it came with a "Indigo Xtreme Thermal Interface Kit".
Never heard of it before but it looked kind of cool. I was going to use it with my i7-4770K but just wasn't sure how well it would perform. Has anyone tried this and if so what kind of results did you get?

Here is what it looks like:

I seem to remember a post from Cyber Druid a couple years back using these.

Edit: must have been in one of the build logs, I can't seem to be able to find it in his history by title.

It is without a doubt the best TIM out there, the only drawbacks are the price and the way you need to install it might not appeal to every one.. i would like to see your temps before and after though.

I also had a lot of fun applying it. Id say you will to. Enjoy! :)

I bought it for my 1366 rig, HUGE POS

Had to let the CPU get to 100C so it could "flow" shit clumped like cat litter.
AS5 grease is all anyone needs imo

It's a hassle to get it to set from what I read on.

Use that liquid metal one that comes in a syringe.I forgot its name.

AS5 is all I have been using for the last 7 years:)
Thanks for the heads-up though Grnfinger. That is the feedback I am looking for.

I have another 1155 kit and the only thing I've used out of it is the cleaner ( that's pretty good stuff).

If you do use it, I would be interested in how you make out.

So you opened this thread looking for negative feedback? this TIM runs miles around AS5,if properly applied.

Yes I did open this thread to get feedback from TPU members (positive or negative) in regards to this TIM. Have you used it before?

is the heat spreader for socket 1150 the same ass 1155? if not then it probably wont work ass good as advertised, the different socket kits only differ in size.

Apart from that, have fun, the installation proses is time consuming and a bit unnerving. Also, be VERY precise when applying it, the glue binds instantly and you only get one try (or two actually, since there is two applications in the box)

Warm it up with a hairdryer at very close range for a few minutes before applying it, it becomes a little easier to work with.

I was thinking about ordering some of this to tame the monstrous heat that my FX chip produces.
So is this stuff the hands down best? I might order some when I get some new hose and a fan controller. Currently rocking and rolling with my trusty tube of MX-2.
