Those are two different cooling solutions:

The H100 is just an AIO (all in one) unit and it doesn't need any kind of maintenance.

The XSPC Raystorm 750 RX240 is a custom pre made kit that comes unassembled and requires you to assemble it (connect fittings and tubings, fill it with water) before being functional.

The Raystorm is better performance wise because it's a proper water cooling solution but it will require some effort.

The H100 is better as a drop in because it does not require anything else other than mounting it on the CPU socket and on a 2x120 fan spot on your case.

I'm Mechanical oriented guy, no problem with assambly-connection.

But Raystorm is better performance, Right??

What kind of maintenance need a custom cooling like Raystorm??

Thanks,:respect:

Yes it's gonna be a better performer than the H100 for sure.

You'll need to swap the coolant atleast once every two years, nothing more.

You'll also need to be careful and take your time when assembling and filling the kit. Also do a proper leak test without your PC powered on :)

What kind of coolant (liquid) I need to use?? I read a guy that use automotive coolant for the anti-corrotion properties and the color. Said use this for a year with no problems.

This is a good idea??

Custom Loop is Best

I have a Corsair H100 AIO, and it cools pretty good, but the Raystorm kit should be good for 5-10c temperature drop over the H100. My next upgrade will be to a custom loop, possibly one of the kits put together by Raystorm, EKWB, or Swiftech. I'm also comfortable with assembling the loop, my only concern has been having to drain the loop whenever changing parts or disassembling for cleaning, but I now have a decent small air compressor that I use to blow the dust out, so no draining should be required for cleaning. With my current setup, my max OC is 4.9 GHz@1.45 vcore, temps at ~100c under full load. I'd like to try for 5.0 or 5.1, and a custom loop should get me there with any luck. Even at 4.5 GHz/1.26 vcore it's running a little hotter than I like for a full-time OC (~75c running prime), so the upgrade would help with that.

I had a H100 and it is now sitting on the floor in the room. I took it out and building myself a loop that will cool both the CPU, mosfets and the two GTX 690 I have. I liked the H100 but in the end I wanted more. Cleaning a loop is not that hard and I do it once a year and keep adding PT Nuke to the water to kill any growing stuff in it. The ready to pop in and cool CPU coolers are great for people that just want to cool their CPU and OC it some but I just wanted more than that.

The Raystorm kit is a lot better. It is as close to a true water loops as you can get without getting a real water loop and all the fittings etc. I like hand picking out all the fittings and all and making my loop custom. That takes time and more money than most people are willing to put into a computer. I think it pays off in the end when you look at the computer and see your work. I started back in the day with a pop in cooling set up then went into the real water cooling.

When I do finally upgrade to a custom loop, the H100 is going back to Corsair for warranty replacement - it still works fine but the pump makes weird noises sometimes, and they acknowledge that there's a problem with the pump on many older H100s. That way I'll have a new updated unit that I can sell or use in another build. I suggest you do the same with your old one. Corsair has a very liberal RMA policy, and it should be worth the small investment in postage.
I want to get a full coverage block for my GTX 660 Ti, it's the noisiest thing in my system. I considered the Swiftech H220 AIO (which can have more parts added to the loop without voiding the warranty), but from what I read it's only good for ~2 or 3c lower temps over the H100, even with just the CPU in the loop, so that's no good. Just waiting on the $ to do it right.

Ya I am waiting on my next pay check to get my case mod things as well as well as all my water cooling things. When I am going to spend near 800 on water cooling and around 150 or so on case modding. It stinks to have to wait to get parts and not get the parts all in one go and be done.

Coolant

I honestly don't know if that is a good idea.

I can tell you what I personally use :)

http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2351

I take time to read the labels, the "Thermaltake UV Sensitive High Performance Coolant"
has the same ingredients as "Prestone 50/50 premix"

Ingredients:
Water
Propylene Glycol
Ethylene diamine tetra acetate
And have the anti-corrosion properties too.

With the difference of ~ pigments.

Hey, guys just take time and check. Don't need special (magic) solution or plain water.

This Really surprise me!!!!
