I am thinking of going with the EVGA super clocked, I looked at the MSI but I had a bad experience with the last Lightning edition I bought so am hesitant (jet exhaust). I could get the ASUS DCII edition as I know they are built like tanks but I have heard good things from EVGA for awhile now and would like to give them a try.

Well I ended up with another ASUS DCII after shopping around and I have been pleased with the increase I have seen so far. I also liked how it was a slot smaller then the 570 version and that it still felt solid.

I'm using the latest drivers and stock speeds so far, but I am sure I will find a game that I will need to push it a bit on soon.

Great buy, I almost wanted to wait for AMD but I think it's time to go back to Nvidia. I do think my next pc will be all AMD though. Going to retire my q6600 htpc for an AMD APU.

Do you plan to upgrade your monitor (resolution)?

Explain This Math

although getting the 770 is the right thing to do, and you correctly advised that, math is not for losers.

Despite your smokey treats addled mind may think so, math is the reason you even have a computer to spout this line of obvious vitriol towards something you just simply don't understand.

It's ok, lot's of people struggle with math, leading them to somehow "hate" it. That leads them down a path that eventually leads to your statement that 'math is for losers.'

whatever, point is math is not for losers, it is for everybody all the time, whether you like it or not!

A 51% better response, than yours! :toast:

I don't know that I will it is on a 27" currently and the real estate has been good. I had three 24"ers and moved down to two then over to my current single. I think at this point if I upgrade it is going to be to a larger screen if anything and the downside to that is unless you shell out the big bucks 1920x1080 is the best you can hope for.

Dude.... the whole freakin universe would not exist if it wasn't for math, so you and i would not be able to discuss this if it wasn't for math and physics and other property's of the universe
But what hes trying to say; some people don't want to understand math.. take me for example i smoke "trees" on a daily basis, but that does not mean i can't understand math, i choose to not understand math... it's a choice, not a matter of dum or smart and so every person has a different opinion of math. that's what makes mankind so beautiful; having the same brain, but perceiving the world differently than others ;)

Not math nor physics made the world, its what we use to interpret the world.

As I am one who "struggles" with math I have a question for you.
Seems you may be able to understand the question and answer it for me.

The temperature here is going down tonight, all the way to 0 degrees fahrenheit.
Tomorrow night it will be twice as cold as tonight will be.
How cold will that be tomorrow night?
Hmmm... 0 + 0 or is that (0^)-%0(0^%x%0)= ___

Thanks...Raw

I understand what you are saying. But with that statement you are denying Science. You want to tell me that Science is a Hoax or something ? That the world just spins around on good faith of mankind, that the SOL (sun) will die someday cause it used up it's resources and all that's left is the heaviest metal 'Iron' and it will expand and then collapse in on itself
That's Science right there. and not some god playing with the universe...

Sorry to say this but your statement is just plain ignorant!

No all of that is because certain phenomenon that we explain with Science, but Science is not why it is so.

The term "Cold" does not exist in thermodynamics, there is only heat or lack of heat.
The way this could be easily solved is to convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin, divide it by two and then convert it back to Fahrenheit: 0F = 255.372k
255.372/2=127.686
127.686k = -229.8352F or -145.464C

You're question of why Science is so, is irrelevant, that's like asking why you breath, it's an automated process that works because if you don't you die...... Physics works because it has ground rules that it cannot change from. The universe is created including us because of the stable rules... the "Big Bang" created time and space. you cannot question why it is so, because it IS! and we do explain it with Science.. how else would we explain the things we perceive through our limited eye view and other limited senses ??

I completely agree with you about the importance of science, but since science was created by man it could not be responsible for existence, science is humanities body of knowledge so it could only exist as long as humanity does.

I get -213.84 Fahrenheit

Half the temperature on the Kelvin (or Rankine) scale." By this definition, "twice as cold as 0 C" is half of 273.15 K, which is 136.57 K. Converting this back to Celsius, we get
-136.58 C. Converting to Fahrenheit I get -213.84 Fahrenheit.

Where did I go wrong here?

why do you need to call us children, we are simply discussing, that's what man does... without discussing there would be no declaration of independence we would still be living in a cave beating our wifes with clubs and what not!!!
