New silent case too hot!

I have gotten my nanoxia deep silence 1 today and have put my pc in it.

I know that these cases are hotter then more traditional cases, with my i7 870 (oc'ed to 3.52ghz)and my cooler master v8 (i guess it's set to 50% with the manual fanspeed controller) i get about 68-71 degrees (celsius) when i play crysis on full hd and settings on high (gpu msi tf gtx660oc), on the net many are saying not more then 70 degrees (celsius) and it will be okay with an i7 870.

It's not that often that i play games, but if i do i want it to be under 70 degrees, i have therefore bought (before i got my case) 1x140mm and 2x120mm corsair af quiet fans to replace the stock ones (i wanted a silent case where i couldn't hear the fans, with the corsair af fans i want an even more quiet case then with the stock fans and a airflow above avarage for a silent case)

What is the temperature limited on my cpu? (gpu seems to be well with in it's limited)

Will the corsair af fans be good enough for me?

So you need case to cold? The temperature limit on your specific CPU will vary, but you will often hit a black or blue BIOS screen if you hit the thermal limits. Hope that helps your questions?!

The max temps on that cpu are-

TJ max-100c
tcase--72c

The max on the GPU is 90c.

I think imo them temps are ok, maybe a tad high but you are no were near the 100c max, so it won't be throttling.

Take the OC off of your CPU or get a better cooler. The V8, for its size doesn't perform very well.

I know a silent/quiet case is more hot then a regular case, i just know now,that i have to get a better solution for cooling my cpu, when i have sold my old case,psu,nanoxia fans,soundcard,usb harddrive and my v8 cpu cooler

V8's perform fine, just change the fan inside. V8+ a good fan is equal to pretty much any other cooler. The stock fan is a pos.

What was the fan configuration in your old case like compared to this new case?
What was the temperature of the CPU in the old case?

If the temperature of the CPU was already close to what you are not comfortable with in the old case it will definitely be worse in this new case specifically designed for low noise if yuor previous case was relatively noisy yet produce better airflow.

3x120 mm and 2x140mm about 40-42 and up to about 45 celsius, what the temperature was when i played games i can't remembe,r it was a long time ago i played a game when i used my old case.

You could just turn the fan up on your V8. Maybe its the fact that its only running the fan at 50%.

I don't want to turn my cpu fan speed up, because of the noise (at the moment it's about 50%), i do have a quiet,silent case but not a case that is 100% silent.

I could turn down my oc a bit, i have 3.52ghz with 4 cores and 8 threads, according to cpu-z my vcore voltage is about 1.208,at this setting my cpu is 100% stable and i do feel a difference between stock speed and oc'ed speed.I don't feel i need more cpu power for games with my msi tf gtx 660 oc so i don't want to downgrade my cpu a bit, don't mind the extra power that my cpu uses,now with a 80+ gold psu instead of a 80+ bronze i am gonna use even less then i used to

I would just swap the fan for a good high static pressure one. Maybe one of those SP things everyone is always blabbing about.

You can't complain about temps when you overclock and turn the fan down. You are asking alot of a CPU cooler especailly a several year old design. Try a different fan on the cooler that is quieter with a higher static pressure. The CM sickleflows that your cooler is equipped with are not terrible, but there are much better fans available.

My v8 does well with a sp120...

(technically a h100 rad fan). It does generate noise buf i have tested a few fans in it and even a thermaltake sleeved 120 is better than that stock fan.

They must have changed something with it the ones that came in my V10 were not that bad, I replaced them with much better fans anyway though :laugh:

I have taken my cpu cooler out, couldn't find my artic paste so i used the cooler master paste, i now have a problem where i can't tighten 2 nuts under my mb, because the holes is now to round (its the braket that goes on the bottom of my cpu cooler) http://www.coolermaster.com/product...tention-bracket-set-for-lga1366-1156-775.html

I just can't find it any where in europe and denmark where i live, using google i found it on amazon in australia.

I thing my temperatures went down,not shure because my bios "oc" setting got reset
