As far as i know as long as you have the same size ram in each channel it will work like 2 x 256 in one channel and 2 x 512 in the other it should be running in dual channel at least i'm pretty sure it should

For dual channel memory to work, the sticks need to be matched. I've heard of people buying two single sticks of the same model number and not having them work. They need to be almost exactly the same.

I have a Sapphire HD 3650 512MB that doesn't need PCI-e power. Haven't thought of a price for it though, but I could come up with one if you're interested.
Also have a 4870 and 4850 sitting around the house, but those take 8/6-pin and 6/6-pin respectively.

I have an eco 9800gt (its a 128-bit card!) about 40% less performance of a standard 9800gt but it requires no power connector. And it has a arctic cooler L2 pro on it! Overclocks fairly nicely. It takes up 3 PCI slots though :/

Yes, the channels have to match, but the sticks in each channel can be mismatched. All the RAM will run at the slowest sticks speed and loosest timings, but it will work.

ddr2 doesn't work with this mobo fella, that's why i said DDR

EDIT: Got all i need folks, ram from t_ski, and 8800GT from TB13 thanks all, thread will be updated for new needs, a monitor.
