I am bumping this thread in hope that all those non-educated persons can see and realize the facts now .

1-The new consoles will feature even better GPUs : HD 7850(PS4) and HD 7770(XB1) , which are much more powerful than (HD 6670).

2-Even with these powerful GPUs , consoles can not maintain 60fps @1080p .. they only manage 30fps and with major concessions (eg,Killzone on PS4) .. and they suck so bad compared to PC versions to the point that all of the games announcements and demos at E3 were done on powerful PCs .

3-BF4 on the PS4 looked like crap and even ran with lower resolution than 1080p , in the end Dice admitted it cant match PC quality on any new console, and that they will have to make compromises .

regardless, it will still look better than BF3 ever did on the ps3. Not that i own a console, but the new systems are still MASSIVE improvements over the previous consoles.

No honestly, PC games have been retarded by consoles frankly lacking capabilities for such a long time. At least with a new generation we might actually get something that comes close to taxing our rigs. Who knows we might actually get some new benchmark games as well... I'm getting a little sick of looking at benchmarks of the same 3 year old titles when selecting hardware

Yeah, frankly, I think the ~512 MiB memory footprint the consoles had held back games on Windows more than anything else. They'd lazily port the code to x86, see it used six times more memory, and didn't care because most gaming computers had that much. Now that they have 8 GiB of RAM, x86 is likely to get kicked to the curb by game developers in favor of AMD64. This is long over due and the sky will be the limit in regards to resolution/world.

Five years from now, console games will hold back games on Windows again, though.

Well, US TVs have a 60Hz refresh rate (or multiples), but the frame rate might fluctuate, depending on the console.
