Guy's A friend of mine is looking forward to rebuild his system he has a cabinet of atx form factor and 850 power supply, thinking to upgrade the processor mother board and graphic card.

here is what we are thinking to go with...

INTEL I-5 (4430) (4th gen)

ASUS H87M-E (4thgen)

Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti boost Direct CU II 2 gb
------------------------------------------------------------
Asus GeForce GTX 650 Ti boost Direct CU II 2 gb

4 GB * 2 DDR3 CORRSAIR

The listed items are on the lowest price list in their respective sections as per indian market.

Give your views about same and also provide option if any change is required.

The PC will be used for gaming and coding (Java (Eclipse)), Database (SQL server 2008 r2, my sql) Movies and long runtime.

Not a trend basically the supplyers here usually call it Cabinet and we go with flow...Next time don't pinch for it again...:-D:)

The machine looks okay to me but your question is kind of vague so I can only reply with a vague answer.

Maybe some ideas about what games he will be playing might help but otherwise, I don't see any issue.

Processors are more important for RTS gaming(SCII, Civ V etc), GPU power is more important for everything else.
If your guy plays RTS, get a better processor, if he's into dakkas, go for the 660ti over 650ti.
I used to have a lovely cabinet next to my PC.

Yeah the system is ok for what you need. Though no prospects for OC'ing or anything like that, just bog standard performance.
Budget not allow for Z87 and 4670K?

anything lower than a 660 is wasting time, does the case have plenty of fans in it?

@Fourstaff this is the moniter http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitor/lcd-monitor/LS19A10NS/XL I dont think that it is a 1080p..

@Eidairman1 Ya It do have 3 fans in the case only...and that 660ti needs extra 5000 INR...but still is 650 ti is that bad...if yes than we will go for the 660ti only but if only the 650ti is that bad..

@Shovenose PSU is not of any brand but it is working all good till now...

If its 1366x768 then 650Ti (boost) is enough, assuming he doesn't upgrade his monitor in the future.

@Fourstaff Seems no...he is not going to do so in near future so ok to go with 650ti boost hopefully that it will support at least 2 more years from now...??
