Hi,i have an AMD 6750 card.The card was badly flashed so it started to be recognized as a standard vga adapter.So i tried to flash it to default factory bios but atiflash cant detect my card.So after some research on the internet i tried to connect pin 1-8(CE# and Vcc)with a wire from an idle cable.But when touching the parts i saw a smoke on the rom chip.The pc shutted down.What i realized the card's fans ran faster after that operation,but only for a moment.After i turned on my PC i got no signal from my monitor,even if i tried to connect the vga cable to my onboard graphic.After turning on my pc the card's fans started to run as before(slowly).Any help?Is the card gone forever?

If you saw smoke, you certainly blew it up, probably shorted ou the wrong chip, and not the bios or you did it with a running pc. That card is gone forever.

If you let the smoke out it's probably dead, sounds like you shorted something.

6750 is a crappy card anyway and maybe it was fate since now you can get a better card.

So? It all depends on what you payed for it. It'll play most (if not all) games. It's faster than any IGP out there, and the high end APU's are generally considered to be ok.

it will play most games at med-max at the most common res of 1368*768.
you forget that not everyone has 3x1080p eyefinity setups.
Haha yeah.Thats why i chose this card,cause my monitor's maximum resolution is 1440×900.
