I love the counter knifing so far especially the face punch animation. Some think it's too easy others say if you try to knife from the front (on someone paying attention) you deserve it to happen. I don't know; I'm on the fence there...

Apparently yes! I mean it's only happened once so I am kinda second guessing but that was the first time I saw the face punch, I am almost positive. I went to knife a guy and we kinda grappled with each other for a split second so I went oh shit! and hit melee again a few times quick and ended up punching him and taking his tags. The second time some dude was trying to knife me from the front initially.

If you see any pause in the animation or what looks like the two soldiers struggling with each then start mashing that melee key! No matter who tried to knife first...

People I need help!

I was playing BF3 on my i5 4570 using Intel HD4600 with 8gigs of ram.. (lowest settings 720p was getting 30fps) And after about 2hours I encoutered a BSOD?

How do I rectify/find the mistake?

The same happened with BF4!

You hit the minimum spec for BF4 = Intel Quad Core2Duo but that Intel 4600 is surely holding you back. Consider getting at least the recommend spec: 7870 or 660.

Well maybe it was using too much RAM too after awhile like they claimed at [H] and Mailman is right the behavior of using more over time does sound like a leak. I'll have to monitor mine this weekend but I have not yet had any OOM errors or crashes that seem like they might be related to system ram. Partly speculating though.

There was another patch today and now everything is fixed as far as performance goes for me.
To convince me that I'm not under some placebo effect I ran FRAPS for 5 minutes and:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
13231, 300000, 28, 63, 44.103

Ultra, 2MSAA, HBAO, AA post High. 110FOV, motion blur 0, 64 dudes, conquest large.

Who needs a mantle baby, I can do it nekid!

1900MB max reported. Both AA off and HBAO off everything else maxed. I want to see how other maps affect VRAM before I turn on AA and HBAO but right now with this monitor there is very very little aliasing. I sit about 2.5 feet back.

CPU usage is 75-85% on all cores while not recording and GPU is between 80-95% with a few spikes around 100% during deploy screen.
