Catalyst 7.3 stuck with em now.

After trying the 7.3's,..I decided to go back to the 7.2's for a few benchmarks.
I use Driver cleaner pro for this all the time with no issues.
This time after the 7.2's were re installed,..I had no CCC to speak of,kust a VERY basic panel that let me adjust rez.and thats about it.When I reinstalled 7.3's the CCC was back in full function. :banghead:

After running the cleaner did you check with "search", and delete what you found?

Also run defrag before re-installing CCC (maybe reg cleaner).

If i search for ATI i get about 3200 results!
How can I narrow it down?

I was able to rollback from 7.3 to 7.2 by just using the ati software removal uninstall.

that is the basic view of the CCC .Go to start programs to the at CCC and select advanced! :toast:

Nothing happened,,,,I mean nothing.My firewall had a little activity and then just nothing,...this is making me so mad.

thats what it was showing when I had 7.2 its never going to work Ive tryed, then I just went back to 6.10 from the CD cuz I got so :mad:

I reinstalled XP cuz of it

Edit: cuz this is what I got its keep showing up, heres the thread I started it showed it was the Net framework 2.0 but I repaired it and still didnt work Good Luck :toast:

I went to windows update and all went well except for one update,Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB922770) did not install??
I tried to do it 3 times and still no luck.
I wonder if this is my problem. :mad:

Fixed It

Well I just did this and I recommend it to anyone with a similar driver problem,..
1. Boot OS into safe mode
2 Using the Control Panel 1st, uninstall any vid card drivers
2a. CCC
2b. ATi tool/ATi Tray Tools/Powerstrip/RivaTuner etc.
3. Using Driver Cleaner Pro, select all ati items and clean
4. Reboot into Windows
5. Install your drivers (& CCC if you chose to do so)
6. Reboot
7. Install ATI Tool/ATI Tray Tools/Powerstrip or w/e you use to tweak and o/c.
Now ALL IS BACK TO NORMAL!!! :toast:
