Ok so thankyou for spending the time to read this, heres the plan:

CPU: i7 4770k $469.95
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO Series 250gb $269.95
RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 16gb 1600 $249.95
GPU: Gigabyte GV-N760OC-4GD x2 (SLI) $519.95 ea
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI Formula Intel X87 $549.95
PSU: ??????

Already Purchased:
Thermaltake Armor Revo
Seagate 2tb hard drive

I'll just be running this set up on my full HD 32" LCD TV so no fancy monitor. My plan was when funds were available to water cool the unit and start overclocking. With the ability to water cool part of the mobo, and water cool cpu and ram. Regarding the psu, i know the gpu say they require 500w ea but i know they usually over state that. Would getting a 750w do? or should i go for the 1000w+. Also with the ram, i want to water cool it. With the mobos RAMDISK idea i want to get a higher speed out of it. Would water cooling the ram help in the situation?

Thankyou for any help :respect:
Regards

The max draw for 760's is 230w (according to W1z's review) so we're going to round that up to 250 and assume 2 causes it to double--500. Factor in RAM, CPU, and HDD\SSD and there's no way you'll need more than 800w. 750w would probably be fine, albeit a bit conservative and you'd definitely want to get a high efficiency (See Expensive) PSU.

EDIT: Looking at other Kepler-based cards and multi-card setups in general it appears as though power consumption does literally double at absolute max power draw, so assuming 230w you're looking at 460w from GPU's alone, add in 200w for various other components and you're at about 660w. I'd reccomend ~800w to be safe.

Since you have some money tied up in your system don't welch on a PSU. Get a solid one like a Seasonic or XFX. Some other brands are made by Seasonic or Super Flower so get those.

EDIT: Am I ok to post a link to the PSU review site?

If I was you ,I'd go with a single video card. Maybe a new 780ti which would be cheaper the two 760. Spending that kinda money you could afford a Titan. I'm sure everyone would agree that one card is better then two in most cases.

Ahh not here in little new zealand we cant. A titan is approx $1700ea. The 760OC-4gd I can get for $503ea. Iv looked at importing cards but then I dont have that good comeback if theres faults and theres a ton of importing duty tax. The idea between two was basicly I like that card, for what you get I feel its a bargin. So its a possible price range where I can just say well getting ones allot of money.... lets get two :D im a little bit crazy like that.

Thanks for the input Bugler. The reason for that is quite simply, im being a muppet with my gpu's and the cost of a 750w here is $179 yet an 850w is around $300. For some reason theyv bumped the price. Now there are some inbetween but I really dont know about reliability. So im sticking with the devil I know :toast:

Why on earth are you paying $515 each for a 760? Even for NZ that's crazy. And $549 for a MB!?! What the hell???

Even if you book a return flight to Australia, do cocaine and hookers, spend a week gambling and residing at the casino, and hire someone to go and get your computer parts and deliver them to where youre staying, it'll still be cheaper than buying them from NZ.

For real dude, there's got to be a cheaper way.

I would strongly consider a single powerful graphics card instead of two less powerful ones. Not everything is heavily optimized for dual GPUs and unless your case is set up for cooling (and you're using blower coolers) you might run into temperature problems with your top card.

I would also suggest against water cooling that MB, they use aluminum in that MB and if you have copper anywhere else in the loop you'll run into issues. You aren't supposed to mix metals and running chemicals to prevent corrossion is a bad call in my opinion. If you want to cool your MB components you're better off getting a MB that has a full cover water block available, although to be honest CPU and GPU are the two that you really get the most benefit from a custom loop anyway.
