Possibly. I guess we will see. Not sure why your post has to be caustic to make your point...
I have been using SLI for several years and have encountered very few problems. I feel that I need to use SLI or Crossfire so I can play with eye candy at 2560x1600 resolution.

Mine did that at first release real bad. Updated driver and it fixed it. I'm sure you have, but if not update.

anyone who is running SLi/Crossfire should be (or might be) experiencing the same issues - You obviously dont run SLi or crossfire so its 'not your issue'
patch notes ask players to update to Forceware 331.82 - Have had these installed since they were released and I have had ZERO issues with flickering textures till this new patch so its obvious that DICE have done something wrong and broken the game and this problem is worse then all the audio issues that plagued the game. You might not be able to hear anything but at least you can still play and have a proper game with minimal effect on your gaming experience. This issue on the other hand I would class as much worse. textures are flickering and terrain looks flat. mountains look like a picture instead of proper 3d the way theyre supposed to be. but yes Of course i can disable SLi and run with a single card for the time being. I can easily do that, but i wont because this flickering issue shouldnt even have never made it past QC

Not gonna disable one. I understand that single GPU is the 'best' setup and honestly the most frustration free ways to go about gaming but thats something I will take into consideration in the future when it comes for my next upgrade

Well that blows dude but yeah ok have fun with that ancient, clunky BC2 shit with the worst hit detection ever. Though I'm also not suggesting BF3, that's for sure.

So they claim they have finally fixed the sound loop. Guess I should attempt to play Shanghai to confirm or deny that for myself lol

I never got rid of it. I still go back now and again. One reason is because my lap top runs it
Great on High/Med setting, so just out of nostalgia I'll play a round. I'm gonna have to play
a round of BF4 tonight and see if I have any issues. I didn't have any probs Friday night or
the short round I played last night.

Hit Detection in BC2 was infinitely better than in BF3, which itself is miles ahead of BF4 in my experience. The major problem is the hit detection is client-side in BF3/4, it should be server-side as it has been in most non-CoD games since Quake. Server-side is almost always better as long as the server is using acceptable hardware, which any dedicated server shoudl be.

I think we've been doing it wrong. We need to ask DICE to stop patching the game before they completely break it.

Hit detection is bad for me. Getting lot of instances like I had at launch were you'd unload in to a guy and then suddenly you'd be dead. Sometimes you see the fire, sometimes you do not. Just playing a round of Lockers CQL and noticed that I had a hard time getting my hits to register with my shotgun without a laser sight. As soon as I added it, the problem mostly went away.

I'll try Conquest tomorrow when I have time to spend on a server. Seems to playing Great though. Sure glad I didn't splurge
for a new board and dual cards. That has to piss people off. You dump another 500 or 600 dollars into it and won't play.

Worked fine for me pre patch
What really bothers me is DICE couldn't be bothered to put up a new top story about the patch on battlelog.
Where I would have seen it and also seen that crossfire was bugged saving me about 3 hours of downloading and another hour of troubleshooting.

Metro was 100x better than Operation Locker. I actually enjoyed Metro, because it had variation. Operation Locker might as well be called Nade Spam--Corner Hold. You just funnel into the same areas and one team camps them while the other tries futiley to get in, that's not even to mention the outside portion of the map basically destroys your retina and is the least fun game environment I've ever witnessed...

Metro was my fave on BF3!

Game was running well last night, still get spawn killed like anything...haha. My mate had the SLI problem, had to disable SLI, but he said he was able to put Physx's on his second card...

Agreed, Operation Locker blows. A lot of the maps in BF3 were actually enjoyable. BF4 has the worst maps for TDM/Domination I've ever seen.

I've been getting this weird thing where when I aim down my sights and move side to side or back n forth, it automatically jerks me out of it. Then I die from someone who comes up in front of me. Sometimes it looks like I have that spasm syndrome where you twitch. Constantly aiming down sights then not, aiming down, then not. Very frustrating because I'm holding down the aim button the whole time :banghead:

I got BF4 a bit late, and even after 2 patches I still have to disable MSE to get in to a MP game. That blows IMO. Holding out for a little longer before I plunk down the duckets for Premium.

DICE...How about's a Desert Combat (Remember That Guys?) driven game?

Theres conquest map where you are battling it out in the desert. I think it came with the china rising expansion, its definitely one of my most favorite maps
