New PSU, so much?

Need a PSU for my rig, 4930k overclocked on water, a 780ti to also overclock with a future extra 780i for sli. 3 7200 drives and a ssd.

Anyway, I've been on a couple calculator sites, including this one: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

According to their calculators, I need a 1250W psu, accounting with a 95% system load on a game or rendering 3d and a 30% on capacitor aging after a couple years.

Anyway, is this crazy or do I really need to get a 1200-1300 psu?

Crazy indeed. A proper 850w unit is all you'll need, 1000w if you plan on going megatons with the GPU voltage.

But is capacitor aging anything that happens, specially around 30% after 2-3 years or should I just ignore that?
Also, on 780ti reviews, the max power outdraw seems around 370W
It wouldn't certainly draw the double on sli, but still...
Also saw a review on a 3930k overclocked to 4.5ghz which draws 525W under full load. It's not a 4930k, but...
I probably won't ever have all the components at full load, but should I be worried on benchmark tests on a 850-1000 psu?

Capacitor aging is a thing you should consider, if you plan on using the PSU 100% 24/7 for many years, literally. It seems you will not do that. A 850W will do SLi no problem, if you get a good PSU, which means no ultra cheap ones you find on Ebay.

Yeah, that was the review I saw Those 372W Full Stress, is that the whole system or just the graphic card?

It's the entire system. The 780Ti's seem to be maxing out at 260W (only the cards). Say 530W for SLI and with a 850W PSU you have more than 300W for the rest of the system, which is plenty.

OP, I've seen Furmark numbers that place the card in the 290w range, and if you plan on going nuts with water and a voltage unlocked bios, go 1000w. That said, if you don't care about benchmarks and only intend to OC with minor tweaks, Frick's numbers are absolutely correct and 850w will do you right.

I also strongly second his advice on buying a quality PSU. Considering you component selection, I'd venture a guess that your pockets aren't hurting, but on the chance that your funds are allocated towards X79 and the 780 Ti at the expense of other items, do not look to save money on your PSU.

Some excellent options are the Cooler Master V850/1000, the EVGA G2/P2 1000, the Corsair AX860, and the XFX BEFX 850. The bad batch of G2's should be a non-issue by now provided you're buying from a reputable retailer.

Take a look at whether your MB requires any additional connections to supplement PCIe power in SLI and take that into account before making your choice too
